Coventry 2016

But Bjerre at two, who would likely swap places with him after the first set of averages.

Put Bomber at 1 if you prefer.

Or Bjerre could drop to reserve based on his shocking UK form. No thanks.

Having Bjerre would be almost as bad as Batchelor. Wouldn't they both be on the heatleader list?

Is this Ben Barker in which case what on earth is he doing as an FTR rider, 28 ish and already ridden in the EL, what a joke.

Yep, it is ridiculous!!

Could there be the potential of 4 heat leader's there??

And there's the folly of a 40.5 limit. That team is a point below it but has 4 heat leaders! So how the hell are teams going to build up to the limit?!

But why replace Magic, Zagar and Kildemand with 5 point men simply to make your argument, when it is just as likely that KK, Lindback, 1xPawlicki, even Miedzinski, Korneliusen, Michelsen, B.Pedersen plus the as yet unknown foreign 6.50 riders could be coming into the list?!

Because the likes of Barker and Worrall are 5 point men. You can't magic up some 8 point men to replace them, they don't exist which is why Swindon signed a 6.5 rider to replace their top of the averages and Coventry has to go with guests to replace an 8.5 gap.

Lindback and Pawlicki are not coming back. Pedersen has retired from GB speedway and Mikkelson is a 5 point rider, as is Mads.

We're not entering it into the Swedish Elitserien though.

Who, apart from Poole who we know have already won it, do you think will look any better? Think of realistic signings.

THIS! You have to compare the team to others. And that teams looks pretty good to me. It's ok saying "King as heatleader" well he was when Brum topped the league and half of last year when we were ripping the league. While Bjerre is an 8 point man in hiding, and Barker a 6-7 point man in hiding. Edited by SCB

I agree, it goes against the principle of the FTR system completely.

Barker, along with some others rumoured to be included in this system, shouldn't be.

They have progressed beyond the level the FTR system is aimed at, and it makes a mockery of the whole thing....not to mention taking opportunities away from young lads who the system is intended benefit.

Bomber at one been there done that doesn't work I would rather have Larsen at one its OK Scb rabbiting on about averages but they don't win meetings Horton don't mess about let's go out with a bang not a puff of smoke Edited by kingbee

Averages do win meetings. What an odd thing to dispute.

I'd agree with you on Bomber though, not the man you want a number 1 IMO.

Yep, it is ridiculous!!

But not ridiculous having Kyle Newman on it as they averages roughly the same in the Premier League last season & Ben has had injuries.

Lindback has stated he is looking at the EL in 2016 - depending on whether he gets a GP place?! KK has made it plain he wants EL racing again. Bjarne Pedersen was certainly talking about a 2016 return when chatting to him at Darcy Ward's Benefit meeting. Similarly Shamek wasn't ruling it out either!!

Whoever clubs tried to sign or had to sign in 2015 is irrelevant as far as team building for 2016 is concerned.

I'm happy to trust you on them riders then and lets hope it's true and they can be convinced. As they're going to be needed. They need to get some pretty solid indications from the riders they'll ride over here before agreeing the points limit.

As it might well be Coventrys last season, will riders want to commit bearing in mind they may be out of a job at the 2016 season end?

What difference does that make, all riders are effectively unemployed come the end of the season anyway.

hans might be going back to the future but his point scoring wont be.....

he certainly didnt ride like a number 1 last season , a rider on the biggest wage in the team seeing his average drop 2 points .......

his bikes were slow , his reactions seemed slow, when he did get in front he had to try and block to win ......

he just didnt seem interested at times
