Why can’t the stadium be closed on the back straight while the new stand is erected. Once that is up and running then you could close the other half of the stadium and demolish the old stand. it’s not difficult 2 hours ago, noaksey said: This is indeed the question that really needs answering Think it's quite obvious, it will be down to the lack of noise protection for residents. IronScorpion 1,399 Posted October 6, 2021 They have still got 6 months to bulldoze the old stadium & level it to a degree to make it safe while putting together the new(ish) portacabins/building blocks for the opposite side with starting gates & referees box. The track is still untouched so will only need remedial work.

IronScorpion 1,399 Posted October 6, 2021 Building new housing estates still occurs during winter, probably in Swindon too.

Mimmo 1,070 Posted October 6, 2021 With Swindon declaring they won't be running in 2022, and Wolverhampton saying they won't operate in such a small league next year, unless a few Championship sides opt to move up, if you can really calling moving up, then the Premiership would appear to be dead in the water. If it is, how would that affect the Eurosport contract, as they don't seem interested in covering Championship meetings.

What level do you think Oxford will run at then. Agm is not far away and they have not got even got a promoter .

If the top league stops running, then the Championship becomes the top league and thus becomes the Premiership by default.
