Speedy swindon pete 509 Posted July 30, 2016 Former GP pole in humiliating loss to premier league Brit on world stage. The poles will be crying into their cheap lager tonight. Well ridden Danny.

nw42 2,048 Posted July 30, 2016 Ugh, Rosco. Don't see the point in putting your best rider in at heat 20. The meeting as a contest could well be over by then. Might as well get us in the running and hope for the best in the closing heats with "weaker" riders. A long shot, but hope it works out either way. Great shout rosco, odds in our favour now, come on Tai, bring home the silver. Very proud of the way we battled tonight, great meeting either way.

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv 10,683 Posted July 30, 2016 So proud of the GB boys. Sublime from Woffy and vital wins for Cook and Danny and Lambert done his bit too. No disgrace finishing 2nd to a classy Polish side.

salty 2,190 Posted July 30, 2016 Not totally sure we should be quite so overjoyed at finishing second, but compared to most expectations that was a cracking performance. Good to see Cookie and King come good in their latter races. Much, much better meeting than last night. Congrats to the Poles, they were pretty awesome. mdmc82 2,878 Posted July 30, 2016 (edited) Lambert and King both bloody awful; well done Rosco for leaving home Bomber Harris.Lambert tried hard but found it difficult although every point is important. King came very good in the end with a 2nd and a win and good from cook. What a fightback from Team GB. Brilliant to finish with a silver medal. Congratulations to Poland and our bees no 1 on winning the World Cup. I felt confident that GB would get silver once I saw Lindgren was in the last 2 heats. Poor under pressure As for Doyle, he was right. There is a really weak team in the final. 😂 Edited July 30, 2016 by mdmc82

Speedy swindon pete 509 Posted July 30, 2016 Well done GB, couple of places higher than I thought we'd finish. Need to learn how to ride a track from heat one, rather than coming to the party in the latter heats. The poles probably can't believe how close they let the 2nd division Brits get to them, 20 days and nights of gruel and water as punishment coming up for them no doubt.
