Bspa Need To Call An Extraordinary Meeting, Make Changes Now!

Recommended Posts

What do you reckon? Change race format back, or change EDR rules now, not next year.. It can be done, it should be done, will it be done??

Rules cant be changed mid season. Oh wait, they did it to make sure Poole didn't make the playoffs a few years ago.......

The same rules apply to all clubs. Riders will move around the team in every club so what's the issue?

That it would be mental if they did given thus far the season (Leicester apart who are terrible irrespective of race format) isn’t actually playing out on track as was predicted and has actually been quite competitive with surprise results already and a nice close league.

They could easily change it so that the management and ftr rider can decide if the ftr rider going into the 1 - 5 becomes a heat leader or second string, once that decision is made then they stick at it.

They also need to change the average calculation format or next year the averages are going to be more of a joke than they are now.

The averages in the Elite League are a complete farce, and it makes no sense for FTR to move up to heat leaders based on averages obtained in protected races.

I cannot believe that the promoters could not see what was going to happen.

The most sensible thing would be to race the "B" fixtures using the race format used in the PL and NL.

The reserves still get slightly easier races, and the heat leaders slightly tougher races.

Poole were caught with their 'hands in the till'. Don't play the innocent - that horse bolted long ago.

A very sensible suggestion - so no chance then.....

A transparent agm is whats needed ,so we the fans know which promoter dreampt up this idea and which promoters backed him and voted it in , we could then name and shame , and all the negativity would make them stop and think before they vote for something stupid next time

would a promoter be more or less likely to draft a rule in his name when us the fans would know it was his idea?

They are not usually bothered about what fans think!

Rules cant just be changed ad hoc.

Agree with Shippys idea that for the B fixtures the old race formula could be used.

Averages for 2017 perhaps could then be calculated using B fixtures only to weed out some of the inaccuracies.

Based on this year's proposals for team building, for 2017 there is likely to be a heat leader's list; a 2nd string list and an EDR list that all (or most by majority) promoters will agree to.

Maybe they will be 'graded'?

Didn't Formula 1 change the qualifying rules cos they didn't work?

There will be changes, but not to the race format.

Do you seriously think the promoters will pay points money to "expensive" riders riding at reserve whilst cheap FTR riders are getting virtually no points money when riding as heat leaders.

This is one area I thought the promoters would not have got wrong. Assuming the points money is as I suspect, then something will happen. But it will be for money, nothing else ... although the accompanying press release will obviously refer to anything but money !!!

Absolutely no way should rules and regulations be changed mid season.

Some teams did their homework right in the close season and others didn't or didn't have a good EDR draw.

Tough.

Teams have suffered year after year by the inequality of the rules so this year is no different to any recent season.

Get the rules and regs right BEFORE the season starts - not during .

Those who are having a tough time at the moment are no better or worse than any other team that has suffered in the past.

Was there even a FTR draw? Km very doubtful there was. As for the rules you cant change them mid season the promoters went for it so have to stick by it.

There was a draw after the assets picks were taken up.
