The latest update (posted this morning):

Today has been a good day. Kenni wanted his shoes and a cab home. He's had a good time with chocolate and Pepsi Max. He had a couple of terrible days after they woke him up, but now

he's moving forward. His physical and motor function are alright and he recognizes all of us. He needs some rehabilitation of the brain, like anybody who's been in a coma does.
Kenni is now ready for this rehabilitatio and we cannot thank you enough for all of your beautiful posts, comments and support.

Love, Vivi & Peter

Kenni is on leave from the hospital, so he could spend the weekend at home. He won't be able to answer all of your wonderful messages and posts, but he wants me to tell you all, the your support has him overwhelmed. He needs a lot of rest and sleeps a lot. Next week he is going to start his rehabilitation (training the brain)next week. Vivi

Kenni's family says that they believe that Kenni doesn't have any permanent injuries.

Kenni have also been allowed to spend 8 hours / day at home.

Kenni has been released from the hospital and is still waiting to begin rehabilitation.
He was too well to enroll on the program in Hammel, so he will receive his training elsewhere.
Kenni was hit to the frontal lobes, which is where the personality is controlled from. He does not remember the accident nor can he recall the first couple of days he was awake after coming out of the coma. He is still exhausted and needs rest.
He will slowly begin to attend different events and go to watch some races.
He has asked the doctors when he can ride again, but they can't tell just yet.
Kenni is so grateful for all of your messages. However, he will not be able to respond personally to every single one, but has read them and continues to do so.
His brain can not take the pressure it would cause for him to reply to everyone at this time.
As a family we are so happy with this outcome, and we are thankful for all of your great support. It cannot be said enough.
R.I.P. Kryztian Rempela, our hearts go out to his family in these terrible days they are facing. Vivi og Peter og Kenni

Kenni Larsen attended today's meeting and was interviewed in the interval after heat 10 in the meeting between Smederna and Vetlanda.
He said he felt good but that he had some balance problems with his left knee. He did a few practice laps after the meeting and I think

he was supposed to do a few practice sessions this week.

Kenni posted an update on his FB-page yesterday. https://www.facebook.com/KenniLarsenRacing/posts/1411763175513787

He says that he is no longer prohibited from riding but that the doctors have advised him to ride since the stressful life of a speedway rider and/or

another head trauma might make his brain injury worse.
