Yes Barker was poor, and a shadow of the rider who came to Berwick not so long ago and got 15 points, but i t looked to be purely mechanical. You could see the technique was there, I would guess the hunger is definitely there, but the power wasn't, and unfortunately it's a chicken and egg situation.

Up to a couple of years ago Barker was certainly one of the top guys in the PL, and a decent rider in the EL. Obviously his back injury hasn't helped but it seems his down turn in form is more mechanical and financial than anything else.

He needs a more professional approach IMO .You can have all the talent but you have to be dedicated to to the sport or it will not happen.
