An idea for the mods.

Close this topic in this section and move/or start anew a thread in the general discussions.

Leave the Coventry thread in the NL section for discussion about the club's fortunes on track this year.

Seems sensible. Does that mean it won't happen?

Why ?

Because, like it or not, the Bees are not in the Premiership League this season!

The 2018 season is about to start.

The Bees are a National League club in 2018.

They were no Coventry Bees in team competition on track in 2017.

There's 3 reasons for you.

Edited: Just to say, I would welcome Coventry in the top flight, at Brandon, but just trying to suggest we keep discussion all in one place.

Sounds like Horton selling off the family silver.

Why not as there is  zero chance of him promoting at Brandon again and like it or not he is the owner of Coventry Bees.  He'd be a bit stupid to just lose out on the money he has paid for the riders. Chris Harris would probably go for a bag of chips and a beer after his comments. :D  Avtar Sandhu  made sure he got all of his assets.

Who are the Coventry Bees assets? Presume the foreign riders mentioned will be Coventry assets too.

No further Bees  assets likely to ride over here, I think the cupboard is bare in that regard, but there is....

Greg Hancock, Shamek pawlicki ,andreas Jonson.martin smolinski

That’s all I can remember.

could be the elder saucepan brother of the Poole rider.

Let's face facts, most of the assets would be retired by the time we get back to Coventry (if it happens at all).

Friends, fans and brethren please spread the word.

Our Virtual Skid project next airs tomorrow, Thursday 16 July and features the Heathens going wheel to wheel against the Coventry Bees from the 90’s. Please come and join us on Speedway Portals Youtube channel, like our FB Page Virtual Skid and Twitter @skidvirtual

Each Heat is sponsored (as are the team managers Garry Stead and Adam Roynon). The Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund will be the sponsorship recipients.

Additional donations are being taken. Don’t  forget the SRBF text line is now open for you to be able to donate £5 - its quick and easy and you will be supporting a great cause.

Text SRBF to 70085 or SRBFNOINFO to 70085 if you do not want any marketing updates.

Here is the legal bit....

Text SRBF to 70085 to donate £5
Texts cost £5 plus one standard rate message and you’ll be opting in to hear more about our work and fundraising via telephone and  SMS. If you’d like to give £5 but do not wish to receive marketing communications, text SRBFNOINFO to 70085.

If you haven’t tried Virtual Skid yet, search Speedway Portal and follow the links to one of the five meetings that have already been screened.
