Naughty words, yet strangely Neil Watson liked it?

Maybe he too has had enough. Seems he's been getting flack on here over this while you know who has been on his jollies and left poor old Mr Watson to deal with it and carry the can. Just a thought.

No Championship club yet for Garrity & Sarjeant. Think both would benefit from one esp James as needs as many meetings as possible if he's going to improve again. The problem is we got really frustrated last year with the jump starts & poor form so I imagine that might put some clubs off signing him.

If both did sign for a championship team then Coventry will have 6 of their 7 riders doubling up 😮

I know we would get priority with Garrity, Sarjeant, King & Kerr.

Sheffield get priority with Bates but who is Bjerre an asset of?

Fat finger syndrome - as I'm sure all reasonable posters realised.......Embarrassing none the less.

Lasse Bjerre is a Poole asset. There is a small change to the double-up protocol for 2017 which protects Clubs who retain riders season-on-season, which gives Scunthorpe priority over Lewis Kerr.

Anyone out there with no connections to Poole?!

No intention to criticise anyone who has posted on the forum, but it would great if more of you could come along to some of our meetings.

Your entrance fee goes directly towards helping under-16 British riders through our association with Young Lions Speedway.

More and more youngsters are participating year on year and it is encouraging that given the appropriate support, that as a sport we stand a better chance of developing a nucleus of riders who can compete at world level in 5-10 years time.

The more you know about the sport from all people who are connected (Riders, Team Managers, Promoters, Referees, TV presenters etc.) the more you appreciate the challenges that many face.

All of the guests that we have spoken to over the years are real enthusiasts and are all rooting for the sport to pick itself up and move forward, although they may disagree about what is needed to get there.

We know all about the ludicrous and over complicated rule book and the culture within the sport which promotes this ridiculously short-sighted season by season view of self-interest and rule manipulation.

As the fans we have two ways to deal with this.

We can trade insults with one another and criticise the people who run the sport (and yes a lot of this criticism is very valid) or as we see it at the NSSC, we can look at ways to try to help the future speedway riders to improve so that hopefully British Speedway is no longer the third rate sport that it is at present.

So by coming along to our NSSC evenings you are making a contribution, you can learn a few things you didn't know before and voice your opinion.

It's great that you hold these sessions in a perfect location for where all these guests live (can't see them tripping up to Edinburgh for anything similar lol) but many of us live miles away, perhaps you could put a file together summarising questions and answers so we could donate to the youngsters to be able to read perhaps?

Glad to see the back of TRs in the playoffs 😊

interesting change.

So where both clubs retain and neither is the asset holder it presumably comes down to who signed the rider first.

Priority will be with the 'owning' Club, secondly to the rider's Club in the previous season, or finally to the Club from the 'owning' League. Edited by NeilWatson

How and why is Lasse Bjerre a Poole asset?? Was it some sort of under the table swap deal? If so with whom?

so it only cover the immediate previous season and not 2,3 or more back

Eg retained by both in 2017 but had actually been with 1 club longer but that club could still miss out on priority down to owning league rule if only the previous season matters

Good question, had no idea he was a Poole asset unless he was a Peterborugh asset and we got him fromRick Frost somehow.
