A previous post asked why I no longer add regularly to this forum - your comment is a perfect example of why I don't......

I am far from a puppet, but obviously Mick and I sing from the same hymn sheet......

Could tell us which hymn you are both currently singing.

Those damn Grockles in the Summer months can be a bit of a pain in the neck too. :)

Try using some Calamine Lotion, it works for me

Silently the shades of evening

Gather round my lowly door;

Silently they bring before me

Faces I shall see no more.

O the lost, the unforgotten,

Though the world be oft forgot!

O the shrouded and the lonely,

In our hearts they perish not!

Living in the silent hours,

Where our spirits only blend,

They, unlinked with earthly trouble,

We, still hoping for its end.

How such holy memories cluster,

Like the stars when storms are past,

Pointing up to that fair heaven,

We may hope to gain at last.

Neil, What is the current situation regarding Coventry speedway running this year ? Could you ask Mick, & put it on here, if you don't know the answer. Think your loyal fans deserve to know the state of affairs.

"We understand the concerns over the lack of official club updates over recent weeks regrading future plans- the situation is a complex one which involves continual intensive negotiations, however we remain committed that the club will be on track in the 2017 season"

"Our best wishes for the festive season and as soon as there is genuine news to report we will do so"

Oh blimey! Just when I was feeling a bit more cheerful about my health and fitness that's taken me back to square one again. :P

Well said 👍🏻 This club has meant a lot to speedway fans and their family members long before Sandhu, Horton or the new owners were ever involved. The fact that they could be responsible for ending what has been a huge speedway club with a strong history is tragic.

If they have a love for speedway as they keep insisting then why can't they prove it instead of trying to score points against each other 😥
