Falcon Hammer 576 Posted January 20, 2017 Buster says during Q&A that just before the start of it he received an email regarding Coventry that requires the attention of the committee. Interesting. Didn't appear very positive, but did say could be extended another day...

If it was good news then he would have said so, looks like a real posibility that leicester will be the new coventry
flagrag 704 Posted January 20, 2017 Have you considered that the Coventry promotion have requested a delay to their season so that fixtures don't start until May to enable track work to be done
Tsunami 10,219 Posted January 20, 2017 Thought he said previously it couldn't be extended anymore! Are you saying he should just give up on Coventry because we have reached the deadline.

lisa-colette 6,017 Posted January 20, 2017 Are you saying he should just give up on Coventry because we have reached the deadline. He's the one that said it couldn't be extended beyond Friday. There must be a reason for it.
Woz01 3,589 Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) If it was good news then he would have said so, looks like a real posibility that leicester will be the new coventry They may have some of Coventrys 1-7 if certain rumours are correct but that doesn't mean it cant be good news that needs the agreement of the committee to get ahead before releasing the information. speedibee 3,091 Posted January 20, 2017 OK let's put in very simple terms for the 3rd and last time why didn't Horton sign the lease on the 3rd Jan 2017 ??? Sandu had already stated he'd make the stadium good So why didn't he sign ??? I give up . it's all Hortons fault , he wouldn't sign the lease .so there's no-one else to blame . happy now ?
Woz01 3,589 Posted January 20, 2017 He's the one that said it couldn't be extended beyond Friday. There must be a reason for it. The deadline was for Mick to sort it out. If he's fails then Buster said they would look at it and see what can be done.
kingbee 510 Posted January 20, 2017 The more this drags on the more I think Coventry will run.If and it's a big if Horton goes they would have to go to bspa to get anything else sanctioned new owner/promoter
CB252 1,376 Posted January 20, 2017 It's amazing, and also a little embarrassing, that no one involved can put out a statement to provide some clarity on what's happening. Still. That's Speedway, as the saying goes.

So if nothing sorted out today then Coventry could still operate but not Horton in charge? Didn't realise that!

I have my doubts Horton will be in charge of Coventry if we run. We have until tomorrow it seems. Edited January 20, 2017 by woz01
