Who was driving the blade? Surely it would have been Chapman in that case??

New bloke...Warwick Hunt.

Plenty of Hunt's involved at Belle Vue this season...

You sure his first name is Warwick and not Mike?

Perhaps they thought the vintage? Bikes would clear a line or two....

Who's the trackman now? If it not CM...?

Colin Meredith has retired, his son does it now.

Was obvious when I arrived at 6.45 it was far too soft from the 8 hours of rain, should have bladed it at 4.30, would have given a couple of hours to attempt to sort it or call it off before turnstiles opened.

Yes the vintage bikes looked OK on it but no offence to them they are only tootling around, modern speedway bikes would have had no chance.

Double header on Bank Holiday Monday?

Unsure of availability of the Robins side at relatively short notice + how they'd charge fans who've already bought Poole tickets for the extra match. Could be an option though.

Wondering why considering the rain stopped in Manchester around 5, that remedial work couldn't have started before 7,50pm?

Feel for travelling Robins fans. Being a local I only lost 3 quid car park fee & 15 miles of diesel - suspect they're out of pocket slightly more.

Another thing that nobody has mentioned was that at 8.15, 4 riders were still not there!

Who were not there?

Here is a photo of the track taken at 7:00 and then at 8.00 Embarrassing for us Aces fans and yet a new one in a line of cock up's by this joke promotion! https://www.instagram.com/p/BJTTP-9h1ImmyVz572BB9u8qPb6VyM7pXi4wlk0/

Thing is mate, looking at the amount of dirt being bladed up, would the track have taken any racing anyway? I can't see how these riders would have raced on this track whatever....

It might have looked smooth from a distance but it wasn't! Every time somebody walked on it their feet sunk into it 1-2 inches!

you can't blame all of this on the promotion, the riders are notorious for telling the trackman what to do

Who wasn't there?

Doyle, Sedgeman, Nicholls and one other. Nicholls and Sedgeman turned up just before it was called off, not sure if Doyle made it or not?

It was a mixture of everyone's fault.

Riders asked for it to be bladed after the men in black. God knows why track man agrees. Shuld have been bladed at half 4.

Speedway don't help themselves. Loads of newbies there today aswell

Stevie Worrall was the other late one

If that's the case it should of been bladed hours earlier.

If it was bladed at 5pm they could have.Instead of 8pm.Madness

Doyle got there about 7.30, Sedgmen and then Nicholls followed shortly after.

Would have to fit them both in 3 hours as have to be finished for 3pm, council restriction with stock cars starting next door.
