Although a good captain, Vaughan has never struck me as the sharpest knife in the drawer and is certainly a bit of a right winger who's made some questionable remarks in the past. 

Lloyd is of a significantly different generation where bonding down the pub/clubhouse was de rigeur in cricket circles, so could perhaps be put down to simply being out-of-touch. But generally he isn't, so who knows?

Tim Paine resigns as Australia captain after messages to a female colleague from 2017 were leaked.

Seems odd considering he was investigated and cleared at the time, disappointing for England as well if he drops out of the side!

Could be an awkward series if Cummins knows how to use reviews properly - unlike Paine... 

Paine not playing would also deprive the Barmy Army of a song or two as well. They've already managed to get inside his head...
