Ok but you said "the team would be completely different in July. may as well abuse the ridiculous rules." Which rules are u going to abuse and how?

Our plan is to be totally crap for the first 3 months and then, with a team average of about 35, bring in some 7 point foreigners to replace our Premier League reserves.

Quite a few of us wanted BWD in the side just a bit disappointed in the way it has happened, lot of pressure on him coming into the 1-5 but i guess it is what it is

Back on the virtually illegible font again!

It's not very pretty, and it's not very easy to read

Look forward to the new season, Robins line up looks decent. Bumper crowds when they move into new arena. Usual 1200 hardy cold looking souls till then.

Go you Rockin Robins!

OK. So I still don't understand what rules you are going to abuse and how?

That statement really doesn't answer the question.

It's been like this for about 10 years now - ever since they brought in the 39.95 points limit.

Every year they drag teams further down to the lowest common denominator and as a result we've had a decade of sharp decline.

Still, good news for those who thik the sport should be run at PL level so that the promoters know the names of everyone in the crowd.

So come on then all you Elmoaners how would run the sport given that we have had a dwindling rider base in the UK

and have needed to import expensive overseas riders for far too long?

Who could argue with that, it certainly wouldn't do any harm to the British lads

Agree, I hinted a few weeks ago that this may happen.

Would have hoped that Rosco would have checked the Dane out with someone at the top of the bspa, so someone had screwed up.

What a cock up all round with the rider announced on the BSPA web-site as well.

That said I think it's the correct decision with the 1.4 average.

A Robins side that consists of 3 Premier League reserves from 2016 & the no1 rider from the team that finished bottom.

Let's hope Rosco doesn't have a Easter double header vs. Poole as it could be an embarrassing score line.

Absolutely....if only that was the decision taken at the AGM and not a decision made in hindsight then this whole situation might have been avoided.

Laguta or Emil on a 7 anyone :)

All I know is that 10 years ago we had strong teams, relatively big crowds and the sport seemed to be thriving.

The low limits came in. The crowds reduced with each new points limits and the atmosphere at the tracks became almost non-existent. A once great product because very lack lustre.

I guess I'd have kept things as they were 10 years ago - whatever that was.

So crappy filler Dane Jan Graversen can come back in on a 3.7 (or 4) average, & do Matt Williamson out of a PL place, but an exciting new under 21 Dane who might serve the league for another fifteen years has to be a 7 average!

Madness.

If new foreigners have to come in on a 7, all existing ones should be made a 7 too! But of course that would affect Matt Ford's Klindt, wouldn't it.

Which they should be using PL 2016 rules. Why is this some sort of shock?

You mean the Nicolai Klindt who is starting the Premiership season on a lower average than his 2016 Elite League average due to a couple of meetings raced in the old Premier League? Crazy days

The shock is that the sport has gone Premier League.
