Kyle Newman. Take A Bow.

Recommended Posts

If he is reserve next year all it will do is confirm to those that think he has no ambition that he hasnt

He place in any Team is nothing to do him, anytime I have seen him he gives it his best effort,to say he has no ambition is a joke IMO .

Garrity chose not to be in the EDR list, couldn't Kyle have done the same?

Yes but has no balls or ambition and does what he's told by MF, there's a god boy.

This isn't a pop at Newman (who was excellent over the two legs) but how come he was a reserve for most of the year and then puts in a performance like that over the 2 legs of the playoffs. He did the same last year too. Maybe they should call him Playoff Newman because he certainly shone last night at Monmore.

If only Garrity had done the same your season wouldn't have been over by May

Well done Kyle.

However, it's a bloody joke that he's at Reserve.

Why? He is number 7 in the averages for Poole. Ellis and Newman two lowest averages.

It's bollocks that staying at reserve showed a lack of ambition, when the rule change meant reserves were elegible to move up to ream proper.

What happened was that Ellis improved more than probably anyone expected, keeping Newman at reserve - any other team and Kyle would have spent prolonged periods in the main body of the team.

Garrity chose not to be in the EDR list, couldn't Kyle have done the same?

And that basically ended Coventrys season. Whereas had Garritty agreed to start the season at reserve, he would still have spent most of the season in the main body of the team. And bates/sergeant wouldn't have had confidence dented by having to ride meetings in the main body.

I'd suggest Newman had a slightly disappointing season, but was superb in the play offs.

Well done Kyle, yet again he shows that come the play offs he is ready to perform at the highest level.

Hopefully the whole draft system will be binned in the winter and he'll have no choice but to continue his development into the main body of the team. He has the ability to be a 1-5 rider for sure and that should be his aim.

Its always been his aim mate..

To me, as a fan, the most important thing is being entertained and seeing a rider trying his hardest to achieve something. Kyle deserves all the praise he is receiving for that fact alone. If he enjoying his speedway and life in general, then well done that man - would be welcomed at any club as reserve/draft throughout the Elite - only wish he was a Coventry rider !!!

You finished licking your wounds yet? Just to put it into context - it was only a speedway meeting and hopefully it has brought you back down to earth.

Conveniently skirting the subject and no well done to wolves on the thread says it all.
