So Rosco's words of wisdom. If in doubt, ride the white line.... What a team manager, WTF were Cook & Lambert doing?

Simply because I KNOW SPEEDWAY as opposite to you. All speedway fans know that the top in speedway are: Poland, Australia, Denmark, Sweden and Russia.

Then GB.

Well you know best it seems,Bye!!

If the best Brit in years rode for his country. The UK would of walked into third and challenged for second

Get used to it, Woffy is not interested in riding in this country unless it suits. And calls himself BRITISH when it suits. I personally have no time for him.

England were humiliated today. No question. Chris Harris rode his socks off, but his bike was not fast enough. Neither was any one elses. How can this be so?? This is not their first rodeo. There is a back up team. Why can they not get their bikes sorted? The Polish tracks are the same now as they have been for very many years...why do we continue to get it so wrong??

Why is it when a GB rider gets beat. We get the same old stock "The Bikes are not fast enough" Sorry but, Cook gets his engines done by PJR and has won two GP qualifiers not sure of Bomber but, He's been a GP rider for ten years plus, so his kit can't be that bad and he did beat Dudek who is co - leading the world championships! Maybe just maybe they are not just good enough, has that never crossed peoples minds?

As for the posters who say "The poles engines are big" Got no idea really. If that's the case. Lindback must be riding a 750!!!

Woffinden would not have got us anywhere near Sweden. Unless Eastbourne's diabolically shaped track hosts a GP final Poland are not going to be beaten with that quartet.

Predictable. No one will touch Poland for years now. Maybe the Aussies in 3/4 years time with Kurtz, Holder & Fricke, but the conveyor belt looks frightening in Polish speedway. Everything is on a different level compared with the rest of the leagues.

GB expected. Clueless on these sorts of proper speedway tracks. Bikes aren't fast enough, ride the wrong lines & look as though they have no idea about set ups.

Cook embarrassing. Looked as if they were sh1tting themselves the first four heats with the occasion and crowd.

Let's be honest, if we weren't always drawn at home against crap oppo then we're 6/7th in the world. Let's see how we do if we are at an away track next year in round one without the Aussies & the USA.

Rosco has had it nice these past two years with a bye to the final & Woffinden claiming silver on his own & this year with a dire oppo in a home 1st round.

If our best rider is refusing to ride because of him then it's best he steps down.

One race away from a bronze medal and denied by a Emil Sayfutdinov. Yes, how embarrassing and humiliating - if you want it to be.

I'm sure the Aussies, Danes, Latvians, Czechs, Americans, Germans, Italians and French are all laughing at us.

With the exception of Harris that GB team was crucially lacking in experience of riding on Polish Ekstraliga tracks like Leszno.. The difference to Britain is now enormous - the need for sheer speed rather than technical skills is a huge difference. Again, except for Harris who fought his heart out that is internationally a very inexperienced team which, given Woffinden's betrayal did damn well to get so close to the rostrum.

Of course a view like that doesn't suit the 'sky is falling in' mentality of too many on the BSF.

Well done to the Poles, but I was surprised it took them so long to confirm the win. They come across as a great bunch of guys and deserve success, which to be fair if they hadn't achieved there would have been hell to pay.

I saw the great years of British speedway. It's the Poles' turn now, but nothing lasts forever in sport. Let's get on with our domestic rebuilding, bring through the promising young riders and....be patient!

Leszno's track is 330 meters. Belle Vue is 347 meters and Kings Lynn is 342 meters. Regarding KL it's fair to say it does not have wide sweeping bends like Leszno but, Belle Vue is the closest to any of the big Polish Tracks. Cook and Worral both ride Belle Vue. Lambert KL whereas Bomber has been a round long enough to have had the experience of riding all over Europe.

To ride Belle Vue would require no more technical skill or sheer speed than Leszno as both are very similar as in lots of different lines and speed. KL slightly different but, imo I don't think the poles would have too much trouble adapting. As for technical skills are you suggesting the GB boys are superior to the Poles?

I also saw the great teams England had from the 70's and I agree everything goes round. So how long do you think before Team GB are back on top?
