Have to ask, but does anybody know of a team in any division that has been given this long to be in any League of any kind?

the chairperson has just asked/told the guests not to video the event....

a bit puzzling.

 

Why the need for cloak and dagger secrecy?

 

Surely the more publicity the better - after all the goings on a fanfare of positive PR would be just the ticket.

Considering the meeting is an open forum and there are people not able to attend because its a full house, asking to not film is pi55 poor. These new people come from a corporate background but need to realise sport is a different type of business with fans. Do they expect to say things that won't go reported?

Main points so far

Contracts to be signed in the morning.

Formal press release tomorrow.
Craig Cook and Stevie Worrall announced as first signings.

The city council has agreed they will invest in the south stand.

The stand will be put right for the start of season.
Temporary toilet blocks for this year but will put permanent in next winter.

Council to provide track covers for 2018

No increases in prices

makes some sense - certainly shows who holds the whip hand if it is the case....😩

Also as it's the night before the official contracts are signed, so there may be some legal sensitivities. Also they want to announce it to the media, but if details widely known it could loose some impact.
