Not sure the Doyle thing will happen.

Can't see the top GP guys wanting to ride in such a diluted league, and using 25% of the team points one one rider makes teams ridiculously top heavy.

Also don't buy the argument of waiting one month until the first Green Sheets, if it is a month, as (a) I'm sure there will be a plan to prevent that, and (B) how many riders are going to wait a month for a team place, have to play 'catch up' and may still not be accommodated if the averages don't fit.

Is anyone clear on doubling up? Is it allowed?

What about foreign riders? Guessing previous will have their average factored up by 1.4, but what about 'new' overseas riders?

That's a very good question as there doesn't seem to be anything about it in yesterday's BSPA release (or did I miss it?). If it does continue then what will be criteria for deciding where the rider rides in the event of fixture clashes.

And with the Promotion / Relegation decider at the end of the season, we could well see one club having 'Billy Blogs' in their team whilst the other club has a guest for the very same 'Billy Blogs'. Now that would look rather silly...but then, this is speedway!!

As was mentioned on SGB twitter yesterday 'Billy Blogs' would ride for the team or league for which he's an asset. That presumes that doubling up/down will still be allowed?!

Signed and sealed according to his Twitter, gutted as I wanted him back at Somerset

If he's signed a contract on the same points money or better than last year he'd be foolish not to ride in what is a weaker league where he will undoubtedly clean up.

Tbf in the mid 80s Oxford would have used 25% of their team building allowance on Hans, and it worked out ok for them. And that was before the introduction of the nominated heat, which means a star number one is more valuable as they can take 5 rides
