You are right there are quite a few riders who rode EL this year that will not get a place in the Premier League in 2017.

I'm surprised no-one has taken a chance on Gino Manzares, should have quite a low average

Jan Graversen has signed for a Premiership team according to Facebook, wonder where he is headed and on what average? 'Soon to be be revealed' apparently.

Crackers. And yet some fans want new foreign riders on a 7 average when we have the likes of Jan (no disrespect) turning up as a filler year after year!

Would be very surprised if any other Premiership team than Leicester were to take a punt on Jan. He was Mr Leicester Lions speedway until we stepped up to the elite league, still very popular amongst fans. Also, imagine he might not cost the earth (although thats just a prediction)

Jan Graversen coming back year after year on a 4.XX average is exactly why foreign riders shouldn't be allowed to drop below 7.

OK, I can see how that could help the 36 Brits (& another 10 new two pointers) with sub-7 averages, provided we also have a minimum 2 Brits rule. The team-building limit would have to be about 50.

A straight 7 minimum for all foreigners, both existing & new, might though be unfair on the new ones, because teams would generally select the existing ones who habitually achieve a 6 to 7 average - the likes of Klindt, Busk-Jacobsen, Porsing, Lasse Bjerre - rather than take a chance on new untried ones.

Interesting list.

I am focused however more on the British riders getting rides however as it would be disappointing if they didn't.

So we have:

Craig Cook - Surely Belle Vue if they ride

Lewis Bridger- No links. CL only perhaps

Steve Worrall - Possibly Belle Vue

Richie Worrall - Can the Aces fit him in?

Ben Barker - Probably CL only.

Josh Auty - Maybe Leicester again or CL?

Paul Starke - Probably Somerset?

Kyle Newman - Poole

Charles Wright - Signed CL but PL unknown

Every other Brit below this list, I would like to think will fit into the Championship and will be suprised if they are not.

What average is he?

His last average for Redcar at the end of 2015 ( he didn't ride last season) was 3.83

In defense of Jan Graversen from what I've heard I think he's been domiciled in the UK for quite some time, has an English partner/fiancee, and has a job as an HGV mechanic. Not every riders going to make it to the GPs or to heat leader for that matter.

There will be quite a few riders unable to find a team place in the Premiership and unless they switch to 2016 Elite averages they won't find a place at all as riders that have signed will see their inflated averages drop which will be hard to fit In those with inflated averages should injuries force changes.
