pine490 15 Posted December 22, 2016 Hi, Can anyone please give me some information about this league. I believe it began in 1978 and there was also a competition in 1981. I also believe it was reintroduced in 2012 but for one season only. Can anyone tell me what happened in the intervening years and which teams took part? pine490 15 Posted February 5, 2017 After a little more delving, it appears the AJL may have run continuously from 1978 - 1985 but I'm still not 100% sure. Reading joined in 1979 but for only one season. The following teams have all been members at some time during this period: Boston, Cradley Heath, Crayford, Hackney, Ipswich, King's Lynn, Leicester, Long Eaton, Mildenhall, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Oxford, Peterborough, Reading, Rye House, Stoke, Swindon and Wimbledon.
