Chance of the laguta brothers picking up wildcard spots for this one? Could be their best chance of making the gp series?

Easiest route to get there?

Fly to Moscow and then internal flight to Kurumoch int airport Samara which serves Togliatti -60 km away this is the route Dave Rowe and Sam Ermolenko take when commentating from there. Edited by racers and royals

Yes looked at it and its £279 return which isn't bad considering the distance. Finair or Aeroflot. Includes a 2 hour wait at Moscow. Only downside is flight times. Most are over nighters and very early returns. The return is like 6 am from Samara on Sunday. Now if the meeting was rained off its a long trip for nothing so you could put back to the Monday. So you would have the Sunday to kill in a Russian town in the backside of nowhere.

We flew to Togliatti a few weeks ago for the Icespeedway and the traveling was easy as. Cologne - Moscow Vnukovo - Kurumoch. We used Russias 'Ryanair' Pobeda which is cheap, but they want money for everything else.

Make sure you have 2 hours minimum connection time in Moscow. We had less then an hour and missed our connection (also due to a little delay). Passport/visa takes some time.

From Kurumoch take an Uber 'taxi' to Togliatti which costs around 15 pounds for a 1 hour 60km journey. Our roadtrip was quite scary in the snow, but it should be Ok in the summer.

My experience with taxi's in Russia on a previous trip was terrible as they rip you off guaranteed. Uber solves this problem :)

Kurumoch airport has a hotel on 15 minute walking distance which is expensive but ok.
