gazzac 1,015 Posted July 6, 2017 And on last nights performance do you still place Cradley ahead of Birmingham? The way I see it, this title was Belle Vue's to lose from the moment that the use of the stadium was secured. After that, never discount trick tracks like Eastbourne and Lakeside getting to the play-off's. That leaves one place available in the play-off's for a genuine competitive team. And I've not seen them all in action yet, so have no idea who that will be. Eastbourne with their so called trick track ( well prepared with normally no blue groove!) are always in with a shout at the playoffs, but with their good away form pretty much nailed on I would think baring the dreaded injuries. uk_martin 1,606 Posted July 7, 2017 Eastbourne with their so called trick track ( well prepared etc...) Doesn't a well prepared track have straights that are...well..."straight"?
gazzac 1,015 Posted July 7, 2017 (edited) Doesn't a well prepared track have straights that are...well..."straight"? Would rather watch racing on a track with a decent amount of well watered shale even with its slightly odd shape than a dust bowl with perfect straights and a handful of shale chucked on it which seems to be the norm with a lot of clubs! szkocjasid 3,021 Posted July 10, 2017 Eastbourne, Belle Vue, Lakeside & Mildenhall are my tips for the top 4!
TurnTwo 317 Posted August 21, 2017 With BV & Eastie looking set (barring any shocks - it is speedway after all!!) who will fill the other two places I personally think Kent have become stronger recently and could leap frog both cradley and Birmingham leaving lakeside there too but lakeside seem to be quite vulnerable too at the moment after their hammering at Mildenhall. Lakeside: Plymouth away 1 point Mildenhall home 3 points Eastbourne away 1 point Stoke home 3 points Buxton away 1 point 9 points = 39 points Kent Eastbourne home 3 points Bellevue home 3 points Birmingham away 1 point Stoke away 1 point Buxton away 3 points Plymouth home 3 points Eastbourne away 1 point 15 points = 41 points Birmingham Cradley away 1 point Belle vue home 3 points Kent home 3 points Plymouth away 1 point 8 points = 39 points Cradley Birmingham home 3 points Belle vue home 1 point Belle vue away 0 Mildenhall away 1 Eastbourne home 1 IOW away 3 9 points = 36 points Eastbourne Kent away 1 IOW away 3 Lakeside home 3 Mildenhall home 3 Iow home 3 Kent home 3 Cradley away 3 (they did it last year!) Belle vue away 0 19 points = 52 points Belle vue Iow away 3 points Birmingham away 1 point Cradley away 3 points Cradley home 3 points Eastbourne home 3 points Kent away 1 point 14 points = 51 points Mildenhall Stoke home 3 Eastbourne away 1 Lakeside away 0 Stoke away 1 Buxton home 3 Iow away 3 Plymouth away 1 Cradley home 3 15 points = 37 points 1. Eastbourne 2. Belle vue 3. Kent 4. Lakeside / Birmingham key fixture v Cradley tonight if they prove me wrong they will just edge lakeside I reckon 6. Mildenhall 7.
