Are Speedway Riders Of Today, Alot Taller Than 30 Years'ish Ago?

Surprised nobody has mentioned Graham Miles!!! Or Newcastle's Harry Huntly (6'8")... :P

Not sure about the height thing,but riders today definitely look younger than in the old bobble hat days when lots looked like grandads when they were only entering their 30s :o

Most people are taller than the old days so answer is probably .....

cos not as many kids are sent down in mines, or up chimneys, or have too 'head to toe' these days,,, so there's not so much need to be small,,, evolution maybe :),,, dunno how it works with jockeys tho, but then again most of them are Irish, so maybe the leprechaun blood lines remain strong :(
