Basically Poland are cocky and arrogant and think they control speedway, you can't think Sweden or Denmark agree with this but all will bow down to Poland as they have the backing of the riders or at least the money does.

They should not then be allowed cover for him when absent . The same should apply to all other clubs that sign that agreement.

Will there be any fixture clashes? Even if there isn't, Polish league can quite easily decide to do a meeting on a Thursday night and Swindon lose their number one.

It seems a strange thing to do, but maybe Jason insisted on it as a condition of signing.

There should be no guests for missing riders if this has been signed. R/R or nothing.

It'll be even more interesting in 2018 if the Poles carry out their 'threat' to limit each team to only TWO foreign riders!! Lets see who changes their tune then!!!

If correct, then Swindon (and any other track that signs this) will need to accept people not attending if their top star and crowd puller has to miss any of their matches...

The Swindon statement in the Star says that 'at the current time there are no fixture clashes' !!

Its the rearranged fixtures rather than the regular Sunday meetings that cause the risk of a problem to the Premiership clubs.

Tv can come along and change dates for a Thursday evening meeting. Also practice is compulsory so hisclub could demand his presence when Swindon are at Leicester.

Bad bad weak call by Swindon.

Holder tweeted

All English clubs complaining about Poland... I bet if they were offered 10x more for the same job they wouldn't be...

All i can say to this is have some loyalty to the league that gave you a start because if it was not for the British league there is a good chance that Poland would not know who the hell you are.Its not like British clubs are saying that you cant ride in Poland they are just saying if you are contracted to ride in Britain then you can't ride in a re arranged meeting elsewhere.

Honor you contracts in Britain seeing that you have 2 clubs and will ride in perhaps 60+ meetings here this season(60 meetings that will give you loads of track time and make you a better rider like your last 2 years here have) or p/off to Poland for good and be lucky to ride in half a dozen meetings if your lucky.

100% and to think that the GB manager is also manager of Swindon.

Plenty of time then for the promoters to discuss and decide before next season then, and best to do it well in time then clubs and riders know what the situation will be,

Just going to throw in a thought....

Until now there has been no contract exclusitivity for any country.

If Poland wish to move to 1 man 1 team and offer such contracts then perhaps there should be the equivalent to a transfer/buy out payment to those teams in other countries that give up their hold over a rider.

But isnt Doyles deal a two year one, with this being the second?

If so. No Polish rule changes applied when he signed it so there shouldn't be any 'additions' to it....

British Speedway, once again, making the usual, short sighted, half arsed, not fit for purpose, make do and mend, make the best of a bad job, bodge it and scarper, lets try and please everyone except the fans, mickey mouse, make it up as we go along, tail wagging the dog, etc etc decision....

When it should simply protect its own brand and product...

Why make decisions that mean more Guest riders are needed?

Why make decisions that mean more meetings use Guests and thus become nothing more than 'select' affairs with zero credibility in a context of a professional sport?

Just Stop Doing It BSPA!!!

Lets be honest, the Sport in the UK is at rock bottom so what actually is there really left to lose by running it properly, ie with integrity and credibility. ?.

Start doing that and people might start taking you and your sport seriously..

And who knows, maybe even attend more/start attending again......

If any British club decides to comply with Poland and agree to sign this demand, they should, as a matter of urgent priority, send any Polish rider currently in their team on one way ticket back to Warsaw.
