Poole V Belle Vue 5/4/17 And Belle Vue V Poole 7/4/17 Ko Cup.

BV promotion need to expand fanbase. Product is excellent. Need younger crowd and more noise. Turning into a good meeting after heat 4.

How do they do it then?

You could be talking about any club in the country. Young people aren't interested in standing around for hours on end watching 15 mins of entertainment.

They're too busy using modern technology, which speedway totally fails to embrace in the UK.

Good crowd but not noisy. Something the management need to work on.

Anyone who says there is no home advantage is talking rubbish. The BV boys are completely dialled in and know setups and where to go on the track. Poole couldn't live with them in first half of meeting. Bjerre just said on the mic they all know the setups.

Plenty of noise on south side where it's shouting and fists in the air where as grandstand seems to be just applause.

Im not sure i would agree with that. Yes most kids nowadays are strapped to their ipads and mobile phone but speedway does not promote its self enough.

Well done to BV - definitely the team to beat this year and made light work of a strong (relative to other teams) Poole side.

It's a long drive back to Dorset and probably worse when your team takes a beating like this! :t:

Making people fork out three to four quid for a bit of paper with the teams on is the first thing they should ditch.

They should have an official app with interactive score card like the excellent 5-1 android app. News and videos could be uploaded daily. Youngsters will take far more interest if they know that they can have their phone or tablet in their hand all night to complement the action in front of their eyes.

Sounds like too much hard work for the dinosaurs at BSPA towers though.

Smug? In what way was I smug - or are you just paranoid? At Swindon we aren't expecting much this year so not too bothered but it's always good to see Poole take a tonking and be the first team out of the KO cup :t:

To quote a famous phrase - Your boys took one helluva beating!

Think Shovlar is just trying to deflect the attention away from how Poole have been taught a speedway lesson tonight

I am in the grandstand and it is oolite applause.

Well done to BV on a convincing win. Difference between the teams? About 3-4 miles an hour. Poole managed to make a few starts then couldn't defend their positions.

Beaten by the better team.

I agree about home advantage, over the years top racetracks like Somerset, Scunny and P'boro have all provided good home advantage when the home teams have been strong. As the season progresses this team will get better and better, particularly at home.

After the first 5,heats Poole were competitive, some great races and close finishes

Craig Cook! Superb performance, this has to be his breakthrough year and started really strongly!
