leander 495 Posted April 9, 2017 Hes a BV asset. True (sort of). With Belle Vue in limbo this winter their assets switched to the BSPA. When Steve signed for Newcastle this year Steve didn't officially belong to Belle Vue ( I assume the same applies to Worky with Craig Cook). Therefore Newcastle have PRIORITY this season with any fixture clashes. I think that must be the reason, anyway Newcastle come first unless we have to rearrange any fixture which clashes with a Belle Vue date already in the calendar. SCB 0 Posted April 9, 2017 Craig Cook is owned by Edinburgh but doesn't really matter, he's been at BV for 7 seasons now so they take priority over Workington where he's only been for the one season. BV should still have priority over Newcastle for Worrall too. Mind you, Rye House should have priority over Branford but he rode for Sheffield last night. Branford is a Redcar asset and Sheffield is in the same league as Redcar. Or is there another rule that people including the BSPA arn't aware of?

Which of the two clubs own the rider2. The club the riders has ridden for most 3. The league his parent club ride in Branford was in Ryes 1-7 at the end of last season, so they have priority. Chewbacca 653 Posted April 12, 2017 First visit to Glasgow. What a cracking stadium to watch speedway. Good atmosphere, close to the track, excellent Scotch pies. Couldn't have asked for anything more other than a third Diamond to turn up.

SCB Regs for 2017 state: 16.1 A Rider must be released to take part in a higher priority Meeting, unless he is “Doubling Up”, in which case the priority for a clash of Official Meetings is as follows: - a) The Original Fixture if there is a clash with a re-arranged Fixture 1st priority to the owner of the rider c) 2nd priority to the previous season club d) 3rd priority to the league in which the owner club is a member. 16.1.2 A Transfer during the Season does not change this priority. Since last year's Belle Vue promotion were effectively stripped of their Licence then SCB Reg:- 6.4 If a Promotion ceases to operate, and/or the SCB order an Annulment, riders on that Promotion's Retained List shall revert to the BSPA and transfers take place as per Art 6.2.2. Therefore Belle Vue's rider assets transferred into BSPA membership. So when Newcastle signed Steve Worrall for 2017 he did not belong to Belle Vue he belonged to BSPA. Hence a and b do not apply. I don't know if Belle Vue have re-aquired the assets back from BSPA or not but even if they had it is a transfer to the NEW promotion and 16.1.2 applies. Therefore Newcastle get priority in 2017 as c) he rode for Newcastle last year NOT the CURRENT Belle Vue promotion.
