keef robin 551 Posted May 1, 2017 Morris has had two less than brilliant meetings at Championship level. This is Premiership and he's top of the official averages. No way is Morris above Lindgren. Morra 10.06...Freddie 10.
foamfence 2,917 Posted May 1, 2017 This is Premiership and he's top of the official averages. Morra 10.06...Freddie 10.00 Yes but they now have one average for all league racing, so he might well be about to be toppled.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv 10,695 Posted May 1, 2017 Yes but they now have one average for all league racing, so he might well be about to be toppled.I think thats only for the start of the season. foamfence 2,917 Posted May 1, 2017 I think thats only for the start of the season. Will establish new Prem and Champ averges separately once the 4h 4a reached. I wasn't aware of that, I thought it lasted all season. You live and learn.
keef robin 551 Posted May 1, 2017 Yes but they now have one average for all league racing, so he might well be about to be toppled. He probably will be but after his crap season last year good to see him top for a wee while. You expect Freddie, Doyley, wot no Noddy!to be at top, good to see Cookie, Bellego, Bjerre, Batch, Thorsell, Josh G, starting well for their clubs
poppetman 38 Posted May 1, 2017 When are you people and esp.the BSPA going to wake up to the fact that averages mean nothing and only deny clubs the riders they want to use and the fans the riders they want to see!
foamfence 2,917 Posted May 1, 2017 When are you people and esp.the BSPA going to wake up to the fact that averages mean nothing and only deny clubs the riders they want to use and the fans the riders they want to see! And I thought they were an attempt to balance team strengths, oh well.......Wrong again
SCB 0 Posted May 1, 2017 No way is Morris above Lindgren.Nick Morris 10.06 vs Lindgren 10.31. Nothing in it tbf. If we're talking form I'd say that as Morris starts from a lower level he's on better form. When are you people and esp.the BSPA going to wake up to the fact that averages mean nothing and only deny clubs the riders they want to use and the fans the riders they want to see! Yeah, sure they do. That's one of the more stupid things posted I here and starman has posted 1000s of times.
poppetman 38 Posted May 1, 2017 (edited) Which other sport penalises teams who are successful? Insists that riders who are popular with the fans and want to ride for a club are sacked because their 'average' (half the time assessed anyway and therefore meaningless) is 0.02 too high. Wholesale changes every year and we all know even at this point in the season the league will be won by either Poole,Belle Vue or Wolverhampton anyway! Fans will turn out to see a successful team even if they know their own team are likely to be beaten by them. If there was some continuity in teams then perhaps the sport could build a solid fan base instead of being down to the hard core fans as has been the case for a long time now. The only plus side I can see in the current set up is riders are so familiar with tracks, having ridden for most them at some point in their careers that away wins are more prevalent. We've finally got a go ahead promotion at Rye House now and good luck to them but I do wonder how long it will be before they say sod this for a lark and build a second go kart track in the stadium. SCB 0 Posted May 1, 2017 What's that got to do with using averages to determine how well riders are doing? And to answer your question, just about every American sport and they seem to be doing quite well.
