Halifaxtiger 5,318 Posted May 8, 2017 The crash was absolutely awful. He picked up grip coming out of the 4th bend, reared up and hit an unprotected part of the fence at speed. Fortunately (and whether by accident or design) he let go of the bike so things could, conceivably, have been worse. The unnerving part was that the air ambulance was called because they did not want him to be jolted and bumped over the roads around the stadium. Tsunami 10,219 Posted May 9, 2017 Apparently Danny has had his femur operation, and it has all gone well. They are currently deciding whether to operate on the broken disc in his back, so they might let it heal naturally in place. Would be a positive solution without the trauma of an operation.
