Gating tart 64 Posted June 19, 2017 He wasn't off the pace in heat 14 (rather frustratingly!)! He was off the pace all night! Yes he won heat 14 but only beat Lunna who had done nothing all night! lindgren should be hitting double figures at least from 5 rides at home
Shearer09 48 Posted June 19, 2017 I think lindgren has gone stale at Newcastle I personally think there are far bettered riders on that average and more to the point they will score away from home

Mad Max 216 Posted June 20, 2017 (edited) I listened to every word, and heard what was said as being that Steve will ride in the British final tomorrow. Let's see if he does or not. I hope that I am being too cynical. So the mystery deepens - to anyone watching didn't appear to be any injury !! From reports and other postings I get the impression that IF Scaphoid is fractured, it probably causes discomfort, which could be ridden through, however it needs to treated properly to ensure complete healing otherwise "complications" can occur. To diamonds fans a number of questions are raised - has he had it diagnosed as fractured? Was he advised not to ride prior to specialist appointment? Was decision made that British Final was more important that Belle Vue/Newcastle matches? Or was it decided that British Final was less important and he wouldn't be letting anyone down? Having witnessed that performance last night I think it is likely we would have won on Sunday, and he would probably have been just as fit to take place in final. Await further news and updates with interest I can see what you are saying but the one that stood out for me was George English was in the pits with him last night , surely given that he was George must have accepted no wrong doing from Steve and that he knew there was the chance he was going to give last night a go. I agree that had he ridden for his club on Sunday we in all probability would not have won but as i said we were in the right place at the right time. Absolutely right - teams can only beat what is in front of them As to gorgeous George being there, he wouldn't want to miss out on the limelight

Terrace Grumbler 337 Posted June 20, 2017 Re; Steve Worrall,,, maybe he was advised to rest it for 72 hours. Maybe, maybe not. Perhaps George will explain in the SStar; perhaps he won't. It's in the past now anyway. However, unless we can get a run going in the cup, the season looks effectively to be over after Sunday, which is a shame. Await further news and updates with interest Great post. But I really don't think that these questions will be answered any time soon. Perhaps in future a spot of diplomacy from the centre green might be in order. On Sunday evening the news that SW would "try to ride" in the British Final didn't go down well around us on the terraces. Unless, of course, all of this has all been budgeted for - I don't know c

IMO,,, the announcement from the centre green may have sounded 'ok' to any new fans that were there, but,,, to the old dogs that were there, it sounded a bit suss
