Panthers Lodge Protest

Recommended Posts

Surly the ref would have clarified with someone if he was okay to ride or not?

the only way this should go against Sheffield is if it can be proved that they knowingly presented information about the JPB situation that was false in order to get a facility that otherwise would not be due to them.

Well after being shat on for many years: 1995 Tractor boys, Jesper B Monberg, events of 2010 etc being prime examples then it's nice to turn that around.

Add to that when Proctor illegally rode for Poole against us and Kings Lynn getting points off us on the eve of us clinching a place in the play offs..or not. Oh and the time they wouldn't let us sign Thorsell plus the Cook thing last season amongst many other occasions. Edited by Lukas

And just maybe when you have something constructive to say we will listen to your words of wisdom in the meantime do us all a favour and shut up.

Have a day off mate.

Interesting to read in last night's program about Panthers lodging a protest over Shane's appearance for Sheffield last Sunday..and they fully expect to get the result overturned .

Not that interesting. I just checked the website which is the source of news, allegedly, and there's jack on there.

All in the past now lets get back on track and look forward to the future , whatever the outcome of this protest we should not dwell on it one way or another . I don't like the thought of rulebook speedway and never have ,clubs should never have the opportunity to find loopholes in the rules it should be simple enough for authorities to sit down and thrash out the grey areas into simple black and white . Yes there will be times when clubs question a decision but this will never happen unless these things are thrashed out and rules tightened to ensure such protests are brought to a minimum. Buster promised more clarity in the sport when he took over but nothing seems to have changed . At the end of the day we want to see speedway conducted in a fair way on track without any promoters leafing through rule books to find these grey areas.

I don't know why people refer to grey areas within the rule book because the whole thing is a grey area open to interpretation for any given situation. That's how it works, keep it as complicated as possible because something somewhere is bound to contradict with something else so you can just make a decision on the day and do similar next time.

That was the point I was making earlier . We were promised the whole thing was to be ripped up and started again . No sign of that happening 18 months into Chapman's reign .

It was pointed out that when Buster took over, it was too late to make any rule changes & they would start in 2017. Any changes made are agreed upon by vote by all promoters & not just the committee members.

Apparently NOT in the change as to how the rolling averages are calculated according to at least one Promotion, and has been imo, the major source of discontent, alleged fiddling, rider insecurity, etc.
