Time will tell, but I'd rather trust a speedway publication than a local rag every time.

I asked before,  who actually owns Hans,  I thought he was a Frost asset?

Poole got the Rick Frost's assets.

Sounds to me like it's just spin in the latest Echo article. Poole might be in a bit of a pickle for team building.

Not a chance.

With what's left it would look like Andersen, Holder and Shanes but Leicester have snapped up Hans and Holder wants to be elsewhere so maybe they could be looking at Zengota and Richie Worrall ? ?

Hope they stick with Shanes as the lad has potential

No conspiracy.  Matt gave Hans permission to talk with other clubs and Hans has agreed terms with Leicester (Hans is a Poole asset as all of the Frost assets passed to Poole as part of their financial involvement with the club. Same applies to the likes of NKI and Bjerre)!  However, Matt also told Hans that no deal would be ratified until they have had a final discussion.

Matt has a number of team options - mostly involving Holder who appears to still have problems of his own to sort. The announcement of Hans still being in Poole's possible plans could be merely to add pressure on Holder to sign or it could also be that the Poles have not made their promised relaxation of their 3 League rule, and MF is looking at either or both Holder and Hans - both of whom fit with Shanes at reserve.

There are other possibilities which do rely on the Poles decision which may well delay the final team announcements - or it might just be a delay of a few days so that an announcement can be made at the Fans Quiz night on Wednesday?! ;);)

NB. A further issue is that MF could be waiting to ensure that Poole's 8 pointer Kurtz doesn't suffer any serious injuries in the Aussie Championships?!

The plan is Sundstrom, C. Holder & Shanes.

Shanes wont be signed until the top end is sorted.

Sundstrom cant sign until the Poles relax on the 3 league rule

Chris is playing hard ball.

Hans Andersen is the fall back option and that's why he's not allowed to sign for Leicester YET if the 3 above sign then Hans will be off to the lions. Simple as that really.

Seems Poole right to get rid of Jack Holder didnt do that well in oz today.

Kurtz did ok but beaten by a Belle Vue heat leader and Belle Vue second string shows that he could possibly be the weakest number one in the league.

Josh Pickering looked good maybe someone in the top flight might take a chance on him

It is as simple as that - BUT there are other realistic options involving at least 2 other 'quality' riders!!

Going by your assessment that means Poole would be better off with Tungate or Pickering at number one rather than Kurtz?!

the Aussie champs are now quite frankly just something for the younger Aussies to do to waste time during the off season, none of the top Aussies bother with it anymore (Doyle, C Holder, Batchelor etc).

judging riders on these meetings is rather silly. Didnt Davey Watt finish in the top 3 last season, how did his UK season go?

Considering the other 3 finalists had all had at least 2 meetings as a warm-up to Round 1, I would think Brady will be relatively happy with his 12 points in his first meeting since Melbourne GP.

Exactly.

Kurtz won every heat he finished in. Had an EF and fell in the final. By Gavans comments Tungate is a better rider than Kurtz. I don’t believe for one second Kurtz will finish bottom of the number one riders either.  He could easily stick a point on his average.

The Aussie championship is pretty meaningless. Even the British championship is better supported. Just a testing gear event and to remain race fit in the winter.

At just $25 a point you can see why they give it a miss.....

Kurtz may look a weak number one on paper but there arent many strong ones on paper either imo.

with his rapid improvement he could actually go on to be top 3 in the averages, who else do you have apart from Doyle as a proven number one in this league? Morris? Thorsell? Cook? Vaculik could find life a nightmare in the UK and be a flop. Lynn havent got a number one. He has a higher average than Nicholls and Harris who are both on their way down.

To me it looks as though Kurtz, as it stands, could quite easily be second or third in the averages by the end of the season. Id be stunned if first time number ones in Morris, Cook, Thorsell and Vaculik average more than him to be honest but I guess we will see.

And whilst I am at it, if Poole finish off with Holder, Andersen and Shanes then they look by far the team to beat and better than any of these rumoured Belle Vue teams.

Kurtz, Holder, Andersen, Josh G, Scznepiak (sp), Woryna and Shanes looks extremely strong even if the two Poles rode to their average... this side will rack up some huge wins if, as expected, the Poles make mockerys of their starting average.

*thats assuming that Poole sign these 7.
