You don't get a 1000 paying at £17 plus the rest making up to £20k. You say the Poles want 3x that...Just a joke tbh. My 6 year old Granddaughter could work that out

I'm only saying what Matt is saying.

He obviously knows the figures as he's the promoter.

He obviously knows the average attendance and how much gate money he get's on average per a meeting.

When he said Janowski would cost 3 times the gate money....That money is not all to do with wages. Could go on a variety of things....Like flight's for example.

Or maybe what he meant was three times the profit he makes per home meeting

You can take all of the seasons ticket holders attending from the 1000 if you are looking for the gate money.  But the maths still seem pretty suspect.

What are you saying? The new trackman Glyn has done a crap job?

NO and it's not what I am saying but riders chatter and mutter and word gets around. You have your ears to the ground. Glyn can only do so much with what he is presented with. The track needs a major overhaul, right down to the base. A top class racing circuit brings its own rewards but takes money and whether that sort of investment is seen as vital in the short term is obviously debatable at Poole. But one of those rewards is that riders are more attracted to a track that they enjoy riding. And that filters down in to all sorts of other areas.

FIGURES of 500,000 a year including substantial signing-on fees, are not uncommon in Poland but of course, like golf or tennis, not everyone earns the big bucks.

The way Klindt is riding at the moment in the Championship - he will fit in nicely in this team of under-achievers.  Can't see him turning fortunes around but will maybe spur on a few others in the team!

But the rewards are there if, you get to the top.

So less than 60k a meeting as DWP said. How many meetings do they have in Poland, must be more than 12 as they have already had round 7.If they only do 12 that's just over 40k a meeting if they get 500,000 a year.So 40k is substantially lower than 60k to what DWP was replying.Obviously the more meetings they do the lower the meeting wage would be.

Figures of 60K for Janowski is absolute rubbish. When Doyle scored a maximum for Somerset at our last home meeting that supposedly earned him just over £9,000 so there is no way Janowskj would be on over 6 times that.

Some of Janowski’s wages is probably via his sponsors.

Polands system of rewards for riders is totally different to UK.

Does your granddaughter know about VAT??

Also I would think based upon the average age of speedway punters - not just at Poole - I would guess that the average net income per head is no more than £11-£12.

Some Workington riders are not being paid apparently.

So it could be down to that.
