Wowsers!! Hoped we might scrape a point after performances earlier in the year, yet did not see that coming - think losing Sam probably had a slight impact, but we would still have ended up with a point or 2 which would still have been a cracking result

Well done Sheffield, sharper from Hatthe traps and Bomber sublime team riding in heat 11.

Howarth unrecognisable from the 2011 wobbler.

Bad injury for sam and his season probably over, worse luck. Guests from here on in likely. we might make top 4 but will be lambs to the slaughter in current form. Ippo, glasgow could win at the dale and the Panties next week will fancy their luck too.

Not sure why max had 4 rides tonight, very slow every race, Josh in heat 8 12 and14 seemed sensible with Mitch in heat 9 for max, still best team won. Harris and R/R made Sheff stronger but they were more determined especially at the end. 9-27 from heat 10 says it all. We collapsed big time.

Well done Sheffield, you beat us fair and square, good solid team, great choice of guest and their loyal band of fans in cow shed enjoyed the win. Kyle one of the most entertaining riders at Armadale.

Fact is Monarchs have flattered to deceive from the very first match this season. The back up to the heat leaders has been weak all along but has been ignored by the faithful in the hope that they'd eventually come good. They haven't. Too many inconsistencies even from the heat leaders, with only Sam Masters excepted. I'm afraid the bottom end of the team has (even though some will hate me for saying it) been nothing short of pathetic on far too many occasions.

Bit harsh. Could easily have said the bottom end of the team has exceeded expectations on a number of occasions. Can't understand fans that seem to think that there riders should be able to perform at there best every time and no matter where they ride. One defeat at home and still in the play offs yea what a terrible position to be in

The talk on here recently has been how Glasgow will pick Edinburgh in the play offs, looks like that was premature, can we assume Sheffield will also pick the Monarchs if they keep this form up?

They have been lucky that Pickering has been very good or they would be in right trouble.Clegg is very inconsistent.

Don't think signing Pickering was down to luck as they had positive recommendations on him from contacts in Oz, including current PL riders.

In fact he is the only new Australian to appear in our leagues this Season.

Last Season we gave Etheridge a decent run but unfortunately it didn't work out for him, so credit to Jye for persevering and coming good in 2017 and also Berwick on giving him a further opportunity.

Bringing back Mark Riss on a starting GSA of 4.00 was also a shrewd move, and until his injury, he had upped this to 6.34, whilst younger brother Erik has increased his by more than 1.5 also.

The real weakness as such, imo, has been in the recruitment of the statutory two eligible UK riders, who have shown little sign of improving, albeit Clegg is currently around half a point above his start point, though this is mainly via his home form, whilst Davey has went to 3.03 from his 3.00 start.

It might seem that we have been punching above our weight, but apart from that shock away win at Ipswich, we have already met the weaker sides at home twice, and with Peterborough, Ipswich, Workington, & Glasgow due for the B fixtures, reckon we might well drop at least another nine points at home, and drop out of the top four
