Championship Rider Final 24/09

Recommended Posts

NOW Saturday 14th October with a 7pm start.

would it not make more sense to have a late afternoon start 3 or 4 o'clock to allow for track work if necessary. 7pm gives very little leeway.

So some Edinburgh fans and one connected with the club posting on Facebook and Twitter their disapproval that the new date clashes with their end of season dinner dance. One suggesting it's a deliberate decision.

Perfectly illustrates what is wrong with the sport nowadays. Parochial, self indulgent attitudes.

Got it in one. I can understand fans are frustrated at having to miss one or the other, but speedway as a whole has suffered too long from people in positions of power looking after their own interests rather than the sport as a whole.

As regards the re-arranged date, I can imagine it would be a nightmare trying to find a date to suit all the riders / clubs, without even having to take into consideration end of season parties, family gatherings, weddings etc.

Some people really need to get out their little bubble and see there's a big bad world out there.

Can Workington claim that they won't pay any fine if they don't fulfill their fixtures?

Another Saturday when they can't ride won't help their cause.

They shouldn't have their dinner/ dance during the racing season.

There is a clue in the title "End of Season Dance" hold it at the the end of the season not when it is still running

workington have 2 home fixtures left , peterborough and newcastle . they finish their home fixture list on saturdat 28th of OCTOBER . this was okay by the governing body of the sport .

worky have played 31 out of 36 . so its the other teams that need to worry about fines if they cant fit in their home fixtures , one of which is peterborough away .

i been that interested in speedway this year , can anyone tell me if the pairs have been run yet ?

More fool them for arranging their dinner/dance before the season is over. When will clubs learn?
