Stockholm Gp 2017

How many times has Emil made the semis and then chooses the wrong gate. He certainly needs to look at that.

Zagar wins from Blue. Can't say Emil picked the wrong gate !

Well done Matej. The downside of course is another of those crappy trophies they got in a job lot.

Turn the record over eh ! Turn the comms off if you dont like them.

Why should he? He's right, Pearson is a PROFESSIONAL commentator who earns his living shouting and making monkey noises and deserves to be criticised for being so ridiculous at times. IF he had been someone they had dragged out of the crowd to commentate then you'd expect the same old rubbish and noises you get from him, but he's NOT!

Chris Holder certainly was the cause of the stoppage. The incident took Kildemands chain off. It was also very clear down the back straight that holder New he had taken Kildemand down, his head was quite literally in his hands.

What on earth`s going on with Tai, bike stopping at the tapes, no steel shoe, tape touching.

No lap of honour tonight!

Did he mention that he thought the referee was holding the tapes too long?

Hope the ABBA Museum tomorrow is better. Enjoyable but not a classic, the track didn't seem to be one of the better temporary tracks for some reason. Certainly didn't see Zagar winning after scraping into the semi final on 7 points, but congratulations to him, points when he needed them. Shame about Emil, started the meeting superbly but then it all fell away.

Doyle nearly there now but best not to count chickens. All the talk about starting but Doyle showed how to do it, just sit still and react to the tapes rather than guessing. Simple but it seems to work for him. Certainly the ref was holding the tapes longer than usual, but seemed pretty consistent.

Atmosphere was indeed a bit flat, no free flags on the seats to wave, although Lindback did have crowd cheering with his win in heat 4, however it may appeared on TV. Thorssell didn't do Lindgren any favours taking him wide in heat 12 and with the two top Swedes just getting 8 points each after 20 heats there wasn't much more for them to make a noise about. Compared to previous years it looked like the budget had been cut.

Some strange music too, haven't heard Fox on the Run by Sweet since the mid 70s. At least someone had a sense if humour playing 'I get knocked down' after Kildemand fell, doubt Holder saw the joke though.

This was my first GP other than Cardiff and have to say it all felt a bit flat. I don't know maybe it's a reflection of the sport in Sweden which by all accounts is in trouble with falling attendances & clubs in financial trouble. The meeting itself was ok although the track wasn't as good as Cardiff this year. The atmosphere was pretty subdued not even the Poles could raise much of a shout though they're not there in anything like the numbers they are in Wales.

Well done to Doyley -just needs to stay out of trouble in the last 2 GPs and he's home and dry. Emil was good value for money and Kildemamd gave it a go. Awful day at the office for Tai. Janowski and Dudek look to have wilted under the pressure. Congratulations to Matej Z, despite his low qualifying score he looked to have good pace in most races.

Turn the sound off.

Why should anyone have to turn the sound off. We pay to watch and listen to a professionally produced programme. If what is delivered is less than that we have every right to complain.

The alternative of course is for BT to provide half price subscriptions for those that don't use the sound and that is never going to happen.

Indeed your quite correct he did win from blue, but just like Emil did in his semi final Zagar missed the gate in the final, but unlike Emil he had a good clear run round the outside of of turn two, which gave him the momentum going down the back straight to pass Doyle.

BUT why should your view prevail over the rest of us who enjoy the coverage along with the commentary. BT are very happy with KT and NP.

I wish I could turn your sound off.

You said Emil picked the wrong gate. Which he didn't as Zagar won from the same gate. What happens after the tapes go up is irrelevant.
