Glasgow Tigers V Sheffield Tigers Cl Sat 2nd Sept 2017 @7pm

Recommended Posts

Return fixture after last night's now normal late meeting collapse on the road for Glasgow .

There's no doubt the wheels have come off the Glasgow wagon a bit recently , but the home form ( such as there's been ) remains fairly solid and if we can get through the rest of the campaign without slipping up here then our play off place shouldn't be seriously threatened .

No Dan tomorrow , he's away somewhere or other on a FIM thingy , but Ryan Douglas is a perfectly adequate guest . No Nike either as Tuesday's crash in Sweden has ended his season prematurely .

For our visitors , they were pretty ordinary in the earlier clash up here , but they've peaked at the right time and are on a long unbeaten run .

No Rocky Bates , he's away on the same FIM thingy as Dan , but they have Lewis Kerr in his place . No Todd Kurtz either , so r/r for him , but that's no bad thing for Sheffield as Kurtz is minging round Ashfield .

So once again the onus falls on our heat leader trio to guide us home , and with Grajczonek , Howarth and Bjerre in opposition , they have to be on top form .

I think we'll bring Sheffield's unbeaten run to an end , but they're more than capable of grabbing a point .

Can't wait to see Kerr, one for tigers 2018 I hope, better than some of the shambles we have right now.

Kerr's as good as he's going to be , can't see us being too interested in him . And we're not a shambles , we've just hit a run of indifferent form at the wrong time , but hopefully once we reach the tickly bit of the season we'll bounce back .

Thats not to say he wont ride tomorrow. His record at Ashfield isnt really that great though he is having arguably his best season in the UK. Rider replacement would benefit Sheffield on this occasion if he were to be injured IMO.

Richard Lawson 3,3,3 in his first three rides for Somerset against Poole tonight . We could have done with some of that at Sheffield last night and we'll definitely need it against the Yorkshire Tigers tomorrow night .

Think "son of God" is proving a bit frustrating for Tigers recently away from home.

Him & Summers are consistently inconsistent.

Watched Richie Worrall at Sheffield for Glasgow earlier in the year, at the British Final, for Poole at BV & guesting for us against KL tonight. Problems seem mechanical to me, doesn't seem quick at all. Only one race tonight with his brother when out in the deep dirt in the outside he looked remotely at ease.

Hope he finds his best form soon.

Sorry you can't say that we are not a shambles when Richard Lawsons away average is 7.14 and Aarons is 7.42. Both have been very dissapointing this season.

and if Kerr is as good as he is going to be then I would take him on his 6.86 average currently when he is averaging 7.22 away from home and at least is consistant.

Well, "new J Corbyn Fan", you've given wrong information, at least not entirely accurate.

Here's the correct info:

Worrall 9.13 ave (Home 9.60, Away 8.68)

Lawson 9.06 ave (Home 10.38, Away 7.68)

Summers 8.96 ave (Home 9.89, away 8.07)

3 nine point average riders and you're complaining.

"Very disappointing" my a"se!!!

Incidentally, away averages are usually that bit less than a riders overall average, and conversely the home average tends to be that bit higher than the overall average. That's just how speedway works. So for a nine point ave rider to have an away average of around 8 is.... normal!!
