3 on the trot or not giving him at extra ride ? - a no brainer to me - or course we would have still lost the meeting (but NOT if bomber hadn't hit the rut and fell) but by not using KK for extra ride when we could there was then NO chance of winning (especially when you consider the line up in heat 14)

also forget about 3 on the trot so to speak seem to remember there was a 15 min interval before heat 11 - during that time all the Poole fans were discussing how KK would be out in heat 11

Time up for Clegg surely with the change of averages with Rye well below the 42.5 limit. NBJ facility also up.

Robson will return by the looks of it with no meetings for a couple of weeks & no other changes. Doesn't look like there is any appetite to shake the side up with all the top five being purchased new kevlars.

A season of away drubbings, tight home meetings and a sixth place finish beckons. Joy.

A few seasons ago he look when he was in the Edinburgh team Clegg looked to be a real prospect, so its quite sad to see him where he is now, in fact IMO he has gone backwards. Obviously he needs a Championship team place and keep hold of his place at Rye House, he could end up with neither.

Please drop Clegg & sign Shanes!

Shanes does not like the Rye track, seen this quoted a few times.

At the after match press conference at Swindon both Ellis and Morris said that there were some tracks they didn't like.  Both said Lakeside (Eastbourne and Rye house) and they are both now riding for Lakeside and scoring well.  So just because a rider doesn't like a track doesn't mean that they can't get used to it.

Yes, happens quite a lot Darcy and Chris never like the old BV (Kirky Lane) but they always scored well there. But they were always quite vocal on Social Media about how much they disliked it.

Lee Richardson once told me that when he joined Lakeside it was his most hated track in the whole of Europe but he knew that if he could     master it, he would  become a better rider so he came with a positive attitude, and as we know once he did learn to ride he enjoyed it enough to want to join the club as an asset.  It all depends on the riders attitude.

Similarly , Leigh Adams says in his book that the worst track he ever rode was his home track of Mildura but if you can master the ones you find difficult you can ride anywhere, and let's face Leigh could score big points literally anywhere so he must know what he's talking about.

As Kelvin Tatum says, when he comes to technical tracks a lot riders are already beaten in the minds before the tapes go up.

Shanes is a poor starter. Being quick out of the gate is essential at a track like rye.

Was Max Clegg the only rider not wearing Rockets kevlars? Maybe there’s a message there

True Max and NBJ were the only two. Not surprising with NBJ on a short term contract but on the night I thought there was a message there somewhere. Be surprised if come the next meeting Max is still there. Shame as what he really needed was a Championship team

Harris and Clegg need to go. Summers could be a victim of the numbers and Robbo's quite expensive to have points wise on a 5.8 odd figure.

Shanes shouldn't even be in the discussion.

Auty on a 4.68 should be a target, he's flying for Scunthorpe. Someone will snap him up and benefit if we don't. I'm not a great fan of his but Kim Nilsson on a shade over 7 could add some firepower too, more than Bomber at least.

Nilsson for Harris would definately bolster the team, Harris normally gets going by now but simply isnt doing it.

Nicholls has actually been top drawer this season and KK decent-ish , the rest probably wouldnt be a loss if they were dropped .

Clegg has had one reasonable meeting and that was the one meeting when he tried the outside line. He has spent the rest of the season at Rye House trying to take the shortest route on the bends and that has never been the quickest way around the Hoddesdon circuit. If he can't ride out by the fence then he needs a change of track!
