Glasgow V Workington Cl Thurs 7th Sept 2017 @7-30pm

Recommended Posts

Our promotion have said exactly the same thing about this situation so if your guy's are saying it also well, it must be right?? :t:

This is where Vatcher actually has a valid role to play - clubs should be offered two dates and if they decline both then Vatcher (or whoever) dictates when meeting will take place. It appears the problem is Saturday night, which suggests rider off plying trade outside of GB - well tough if clubs sign these riders take the grief of them being missing!!

You could also quote the farce that is the current KO Cup, are we actually bothering with this event or just given it up as a bad job?

Who's still in it by the way? ;)

Not surprised that it is off , been raining all night and not looking like it is going to go off anytime soon. In fact it has rained every day here since August 1st, very depressing 😠😢

The KOC was supposed to be an early season competition. Seems strange Berwick and Ipswich were told to race but others seem to do as they please.

Just have an Ipswich v Glasgow final and tell the others that they have missed the cut-off date for fixtures.

The main problem was that Newcastle and Workington initially drew on aggregate and there was no golden heat to determine the winners. It's been down hill since then

rained off eh , i cant understand why Glasgow didnt borrow Berwick.s track covers !

with the championship and the premier league both using the SAME riders , there is going to be a huge

backlog of meetings trying to get sorted and all with the same riders .

yep , doubling up and down really works .. and dont get me going on the loooong summer break when the sun

was out and we had no meetings. but hey , all the other stuff got sorted meeting wise , didnt it ?

The only way covers would have worked today was if they were suspended c20 feet above the track and acted like a roof. Even the Berwick management haven't managed to do that, despite being forward thinking etc etc - I think I've got that right

Edinburgh v Sheffield matches were the same quarter final's stage as Berwick. This tie was completed months later (would have been over a month without a rain-off). Peterborough racing Scunny half way through September in the quarter final's (same round as Berwick and Ipswich had completed by 1st April is a disgrace). :drink:

With a complete lack of continuity in our home fixtures especially in July Britain's warmest month statistically, we now find ourselves trying to cram meetings in towards the end of the regular season September / October Britain's wettest months statistically.

You couldn't make this up absolute madness.

But you could make a case for every month to be wetter than the previous month this year.
