Edinburgh Vs Workington & Ipswich 8th September, 2017

Recommended Posts

Sheffield have a double header on Sunday.

£20 to buy on line.

£20 on the day.

£30 does seem a bit pricey, and I would imagine that any travel fans from Workington and Ipswich will have been put of by the price.

but it is £20 on a normal race night so is still a tenner saving.14 if you buy in advance.stop moaning.racing is decent at armadale.

Yep should be packed to the rafters after a long delay since the last team match.

Though maybe a lot will leave at half-time rather than put up with having to watch Ippo.

Yes, they don't want to see the home team lose !!!

Edinburgh must be the only team that would rather run a double header that ride on an off night. Obviously at £30 a head they deem it financially viable, just hope the handful of Ipswich fans actually get to see 15 heats for their money. If memory serves the only double header that has run the full course this season was the bank Holiday one at Swindon, in all other cases fans have been short changed.

not short changed b.h.m at scunthope

Monarchs website says 20-30 for the 2nd meeting, SpeedwayGb states 20-45. Let's guess sometime later than advetised.

It depends how smoothly the first meeting goes this determines how quickly the second one starts.

These start times are just a guess.

All our meeting are run well and smoothly. Done double headers in the past and had no problems and tonight shouldn't be any different.

Why does Tommy the tape toucher make Ipswich stronger ?

Double figures on his last 2 appearances and rides the dale very well. An improvement on who he is replacing IMO.

Planning permission only allows one racenight per week at Armadale hence the need for double headers rather than multiple meetings in a week.

Barring injuries I'm more than confident we will get through all 30 heats tonight the 1st match will start at 7 sharp and the turnaround between the 2 has been practiced this week and stands at 20 minutes so all being well it'll work out ok I think over the last 3 seasons the Monarchs have ran 5 double headers and only 1 failed to go the full 30 heats

Fair comment, but Edinburgh haven't been able to ride for the past few weeks due to the unavailability of the opposition, so they'd have only had one meeting anyway.
