jenga 2,998 Posted September 7, 2017 (edited) One was against ipswich...better track better racing. i cant BELIEVE i have just read that ! just wondering if ippo fans can stand outside and wait for the workington meeting to finnish and then only pay to watch their own side race , and vise versa not too sure of that vice versa spelling (vise) Edited September 7, 2017 by jenga
Baldyman 6,243 Posted September 7, 2017 What can't you believe??? It is a better track and the racing is better.
New era Panthers 2,055 Posted September 7, 2017 30 quid on the gate? Wow. Personally I wouldn't go there if they charged a fiver but £30 is not the way to attract fans to come and support.
spin king 1,918 Posted September 7, 2017 But only £26 if bought in advance. £16 a match at the fox holes. And more entertainment than most places - the return of the Messiah in the first one for instance. Sheffield have a double header on Sunday. £20 to buy on line. £20 on the day. £30 does seem a bit pricey, and I would imagine that any travel fans from Workington and Ipswich will have been put of by the price.
Mr Blobby 2,650 Posted September 7, 2017 Two massive matches for us that could make or break our season. Neither match going to be easy with the likes of cookie, Jorgensen and sergeant st reserve for the comets. The second match even harder with the likes of king, Schlein and Jorgensen in as a guest that'll make them even stronger. Must take all 6 points tomorrow, would happily take two 46-44 wins right now.
TheScotsman 2,482 Posted September 7, 2017 Hate double headers. Should never be allowed under any circumstances.

New era Panthers 2,055 Posted September 7, 2017 Go agent Sarj - your 2018 Witches kevlars are on order He's a bit of an enigma although he's, always been a jumpy gater, a shadow of the rider he was a couple of years ago when he rode for Glasgow. Looked then like a rider who was on the way up.
Baldyman 6,243 Posted September 7, 2017 I'm sure last year he upped his average even more than he achieved at Glasgow.

spanner47 336 Posted September 8, 2017 Edinburgh must be the only team that would rather run a double header that ride on an off night. Obviously at £30 a head they deem it financially viable, just hope the handful of Ipswich fans actually get to see 15 heats for their money. If memory serves the only double header that has run the full course this season was the bank Holiday one at Swindon, in all other cases fans have been short changed.
