Scunthorpe Scorpions 2018

On Peterboro news, it seems you bought Horton's assets(Coventry) to build up your asset base, then swapped Garrity for Palm-Toft. It, also, says that you are in line to sign some more.

PETERBOROUGH can confirm a major investment for their future – with the addition of several new riders to the club’s asset base.

The T.Balfe Construction Panthers finalised a deal on the eve of the season for the purchase of five British riders.

They announced the signing of Scott Nicholls at press and practice last month, and can now confirm former Panthers riders Chris Harris, Ben Barker and Adam Roynon are also on their retained list.

In addition, the arrangement included Jason Garrity, but he has subsequently moved to Scunthorpe in a swap which sees current Peterborough man Michael Palm Toft become a full Panthers asset.

Looks like Scunny are going to use guests to cover for Stevie, but what are the rules on guests, is there a time limit?

18.10.3   This rule is in bold so is new this year. Any rider that is in a current 1-7 can guest in either league. If the rider does not have a MA in the league he will be guesting in, then the 1.3 conversion applies. His then average must be lower than the rider he is replacing. A rider may guest only once within an 8 day period unless he is replacing a home teams no1.

Looking at the guests Rob has chosen, even though we performed very well last week, he does not want to give riders, in our league, any practice on our track. Pre season, I think it has been noted, that when we had a private practice on a Wednesday, Ipswich were also here. Sheffield, being here next week, is a perfect example of not using Howarth tonight.

Can we keep using guests indefinitely until Stevie is fit  or is there a limit to how long we can use them.

It is in the SS as well as D Peet's verdict putting the incident of Manzares's engine blowing up as the reason for our defeat. Instead of being level at 12 all we were 14-10 behind. There were still 11 heats remaining so saying we were playing catch up, & all the riders were trying, there were other areas to explore & these must be put right. We even tried the t/s in heat 6 using Auty for Phillips. IF ONLY Steve was there it could have been a different story, with it being his home track for the last few years, as a few pointers could have been passed on.

In theory it's for 28 days. But you can then re-apply again and again and again. So it shouldn't be (and usually isn't) a problem as long as He keeps submitting Sick notes. You might have had a problem if he got injured riding for Belle Vue BEFORE turning out for you as a facility isn't always allowed if a rider hasn't rode in the current) or at the end of the last) season for the team concerned . That's why Poole had to sign Kildemand on a temp contract to replace Holder. You will have a problem if he starts riding for Belle Vue and/or Poland and you are still using a facility for him. Unlikely, it's true, but it has happened.

Well, in this scenario its probably be 'likely' that a guest option will be available, until he is fit to ride,,, wether it be Scunny or Belle Vue, yeah ?

Without being disrespectful to our guests thus far - it has to be said we are a better team with Stevie in it

So with Stefan unfortunately out for some time do Scunny go with R/R or do they look to sign another rider, Andreas Lyager would fit.
