Fair point but the number of meetings between the two clubs has a saturation point. With the now Scottish Cup, League Cup, KO Cup and League meeting, that is more than enough to see Edinburgh in one season. The potential is also there to meet in the playoffs.

The Promotions see them as a money spinner, as there will always be a reasonable turn out compared to some other fixtures.

It has been suggested that any Speedway Supporters resident in West Lothian should try and lobby their local councilors  now, before the planning application is voted on.

It is unlikely that the Planning Officials, who are recommending approval, will have made the councilors fully aware of the  opposition viewpoint.

A necessary course of action I would think . West Lothian council have always come across as very happy to have a successful sporting team in their midst , now is their chance to not just bask in the glory of the team's exploits since basing themselves at Armadale , but to use their power to block any advances which would bring all that to an end .

Shafted again.

Oh, and who is one of the wise men on the BSPA committee?  It's that lovely cuddly Stewart Dickson of the friendly, helpful Glasgow Tigers. I'm sure Stewart was fighting Edinburgh's corner.........

Instead of wanting special treatment and a bend of the set rules...how about signing someone that fits within the rules.   Do promoters think they are special.

Surely that's the visa process, working out correctly isn't it??

i) he doesn't qualify

ii) there are several British riders who could fill his position:unsure: so unlikely to be issued for that reason.

It's reasonable to apply for approval for a visa for Luke because of the circumstances, and it's reasonable for that request to be refused, but surely it's best to check with Stewart before implying that he is behind the refusal.
