ruckerroo 792 Posted October 1, 2017 Making the trip down for this fixture. Both sides seem pretty much at full strength for this leg. Rowe at reserve should be good for kent. Will the strong winds make it blue groove central? Will mattie bates stay on his moped for 4 laps? Will it piddle down and the curfew come into play? Im going to plump for a hard fought match with kent winning by about 8 points. Im more looking forward too one of the eagles going tom and dick on saturday at 6am tbh
teaboy279 1,038 Posted October 1, 2017 Fully expect team changes to be announced by the budgies, and expect Kemp and Edwards at reserve for them. Which really makes it hard to replace Bradley Andrews who will miss the first leg. The last 2 meetings have produced 12 and more recently 18 point home wins so think a ten point win is not out of the question. But with our Arlington form this year, any win should make us favorites for the second leg. The rain is now due to start about 6pm but we have raced a couple of times this year with constant drizzle and the track can handle it so fingers crossed for 15 heats. Islander15 1,062 Posted October 1, 2017 Whos Kent got at reserve then against Edwards and somebody?
TurnTwo 317 Posted October 1, 2017 Rowe and Laker one would assume?
teaboy279 1,038 Posted October 1, 2017 At a guess Spooner, o keefe or Laker. (On the assumption that Kemp rides for Eastbourne.) Of the three, Spooner was quickest at the SDL double header last week.
Alex2000 266 Posted October 1, 2017 (edited) Eagles by 4 you missed a 1 off the front of that lol. Brennan is back on form, Knight has to make his races count, we know what wood and bailey can do and edwards sounds pretty damn impressive... COYE lets bring back the 2015 domination.... on a logical note eagles to move on by 4 over 2 legs Edited October 1, 2017 by Al3x200

Hunters 210 Posted October 2, 2017 Love the optimistic spirit but anticipate a 16 point lead at least for the Kings tonight, making the second leg a dead rubber. Even a massive effort and 6 point deficit will not be enough to overcome with r/r for Knight on Saturday when Hopwood will be riding for Newcastle but they will have a guest facility. The handicap will be too much unless they can find a way to rearrange the team. Interesting to see that Glasgow ride on Friday so no Jack Smith for the Colts against Lakeside. Belle Vue might well have blown it with that very weak team they put out at Lakeside.
TurnTwo 317 Posted October 2, 2017 I doubt hunter rr but if it is and Macauley leek at reserve Kent are extremely weakened
Moleman27 31 Posted October 2, 2017 Think Eastbourne will win tonight, Hopwood didn't look very fast at Arlington on Saturday. Tom and Josh were far quicker and Jake is gonna be hungry too do well as wont be able to contribute for the second leg.
gazzac 1,013 Posted October 2, 2017 (edited) I know I'm opening up the old debate again, but how exciting would the nl league have been this year if the champions were the team who came top over the season. Not only could Kent , Eastie and BV have won it on the last match, but with no September cut off at least all fixtures would be played, imagine the pressure of the Eastie match at Cradley. Now we have a situation that through upper league fixtures not bad form that BV may not even make the final. I know it's an old argument, but the first year Eastie and Birmingham came to the Nl in 2015, the team who came top winning the league followed by the Gold cup was far better really.
