Have they not been involved before, providing rose tinted pairs for the previous management? Do they also offer specs for some of the refs ?

Teromaafan 586 Posted January 19, 2018 Now Sarj is on board the management are probably thinking that stronger start gate elastic is needed! Not a good idea. In these times where health and safety over rides everything, there is a potential injury risk to spectators on the 4th bend if Sarj catapults himself backwards due to an over enthusiastic start and the start tape remaining intact. Joking aside, if he can learn to trap at BP ( without being penalised) he should outscore all visiting reserves and maybe some second strings.

flagrag 704 Posted January 22, 2018 So who would the fans like to be the new Lions manager ? Jim was a lovely bloke but did struggle at times wth seeing the programme and consequently made a few tactical errors.

psycho3a 101 Posted January 23, 2018 Simon Stead makes perfect sense.... Fairly local, Knows the Bates/Machin promotion, Also was heavily involved in the Vaculik deal...
Big Al 708 Posted January 23, 2018 The two televised league matches didn't do Jim Lynch many favours. I felt sorry for him during the home match v Swindon because he had so much sh*t to deal with, plus constant TV interviews, and a bad reffing decision. But at Somerset he blew it tactically, had a meltdown during a TV interview, and then Mr Tatum kindly stuck the boot in to finish the job off. 1
Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted January 23, 2018 Lynch guest managed for Poole at Coventry several years ago. Poole won the first leg by about 28 points. We lost the second leg under Lynch by 30. OK we lost our number one bjarne half way through the meeting with a broken wrist but Lynch did such a fantastic job Coventry got three 5-1’s in the last three heats to go through. Inept at team management.
