SCB 0 Posted November 20, 2017 Rider with an average under 8, surprised hes not wanted by his parent club, GP rider. The options are.... Woffinden Because the rest have averages too high, have never ridden here or their owned by a club that are not riding at present/any more.

Mattfordfan 286 Posted November 20, 2017 Woffinden would go to Wolverhampton due to his connection with Peter Adams also Wolves would snap him up if he wants British racing. Tai would never turn down a contract at Wolverhampton. So forget it. Nilsson will be the 2nd HL for Leicester imo.
OdsalBoy 181 Posted November 20, 2017 Doesn't Woffinden also have connections with Neil Machin ? Could very well happen this move.
flagrag 704 Posted November 20, 2017 Decision time for the Lions promotion now they know the rules from the conference and have MV starting average confirmed . Do they push forward with top 2 they originally wanted or do they go for a more balanced side with strong reserves ?
Mattfordfan 286 Posted November 20, 2017 (edited) Doesn't Woffinden also have connections with Neil Machin ? Could very well happen this move. Doesn't matter. Nothing breaks the Woffy/Adams connection. Decision time for the Lions promotion now they know the rules from the conference and have MV starting average confirmed . Do they push forward with top 2 they originally wanted or do they go for a more balanced side with strong reserves ? Personally I don't think there is another GP rider never did due to the points limit. Think someone told you a porky pie. Has to be a rider under 8 and you said its a GP rider. Only 4 riders under 8 in the GP's are Woffinden - Never going to happen. Wolves or no British club. Wolves wouldn't even let Leicester speak with Woffinden. Woffinden wouldn't be interested in a move to Leicester over a move to his beloved Wolverhampton. Zagar - hates the track and will do anything to get out of meetings around Leicester. C. Holder - Doesn't like the track either. Shamek - who wasn't interested in British racing before qualifying for the GP's therefore I defo cant see him being interested now. Big Al 708 Posted November 20, 2017 Contrast the attitudes of Holder and Zagar as described above (and I think they're true) with Martin Vaculik who has stated he wants to tackle a difficult track as part of his quest to become a better rider. These 3 are in pretty close proximity in the current GP pecking order. Let's see which one comes out on top in 2018. Maybe he's realised how much his 2 years at Leicester helped to move Mr Jason "British tracks are crap" Doyle on in his career.

OldRacer 84 Posted November 20, 2017 Riders will take the best contracts. 'Loving' a club doesn't extend beyond the right pay check. Ownership of assets is nonsense. The sooner a high profile rider pushes back, the sooner the whole house of cards collapses.
Skidder1 7,631 Posted November 21, 2017 (edited) What is the confirmed average for MV ? As of yesterday evening the SCB weren't aware of Vaculik's average - anymore than any of the other assessed riders!! The SCB have asked for the full 'independent' list of averages which they expect to receive later this week. (As advised by Gordon Pairman to me yesterday!!)
