There are plenty. This is a myth. Just count all the riders who rode last year in the PL and the CL.

DC2 11,150 Posted January 24, 2018 Yes, there is. There’s plenty of riders. And even easier if it were compulsory to have two U.K. riders at reserve.

Wouldn't the Championship boys not be riding on the Premiership race nights so could guest? excluding the Good Friday meeting of course.

One way or another, guests already! Unfortunately think it's Lakeside.

I presume as we are riding on a now "off racenight" that may throw a spanner in the works. Is he not an asset of Lakeside? and Friday isn't an agreed Premiership day so it should be Lakeside. And we'd have plenty more if we didn't keep forcing British riders out of the sport because their average doesn't fit.

The draft system in the EL brought on Steve Worrall, Jason Garrity, Kyle Newman, Charles Wright, Stefan Nielsen, Lewis Rose, James Sarjeant, Josh Bates and Lewis Kerr and if persevered with could now include Wajtknecht, Bowtell, Bewley, Bickley, Jenkins and Kemp! Surely a brilliant idea if properly run and supported? Much better for UK speedway than having the likes of Graversen, Pijper, Etheridge and Konopka at reserve.

RebelDan 203 Posted January 24, 2018 What a complete joke this is pretty much 2 home fixtures a month apart from August - what complete morons we have running the sport in this country. A perfect remedy to put supporters off who will clearly get out of the habit of attending very quickly.

You get 7 home meetings in Poland and that seems to work. Any more and we won’t be able to afford it.

Not enough to fill 2 leagues unless you fill them with sub standard NL riders and certainly no way unless it's double or triple up/down. It's a myth there are enough riders to go around. There isn't. Any more and we won’t be able to afford it. Clubs will end up with lower attendances if they keep reducing the fixture list due to punters habits. If the argument is the clubs can’t afford more fixtures, then that implies they are not breaking even on the fixtures they have, which is a whole other debate. I don’t buy that crowds will drop if you went from say 15 home fixtures a season to 20, especially if you programme them to gain the maximum commercial benefit during the peak periods which a lot of clubs don’t!
