It seems clear that if both Freddie and Jacob are fit for next season, the preferred choice is Freddie at number one, a position he holds down easily year after year while Jacob hardly ever rides at 5 and is used at 3 or 4 instead. So you have to think that if Freddie backs out or can't make it back in time, is Jacob the only other option for the number one position.

Piotr Pawlicki is now given a 9.00 average, something he is certainly capable of holding down and now he is out of the GP's and likley to be out of the new SWC teams, he may see a season in Britain as the right move next season.

HOWEVER

Without the money from a TV deal, each club is going to be considerably down on income and even if they can afford to finance the deal themselves is only putting the finances of the club at risk and no track should really be considering such a move if there is no TV deal.

Without a TV deal maybe Jacob Thorssell is on less than Freddie and would be affordable or do you build a team more cost effective with riders like Rory, Sam, Ricky Wells or even riders like Danny King or Richie Worrall. Think a few tracks will be awaiting the news on BT before committing to contracts that would only jepodise their clubs.

without the tv deal in place I'd think the first two things for teams to look at for team building are reducing the amount of flights they may have to pay for and also the amount of loan fees they might have to fork out.

No greaves on such a low average?

Greaves average is primarily from beating other weak no 7's. If other teams don't have such riders in their lineup he would be likely to struggle.

Poor lad..his best season, rider of season at 2 different clubs.. And might not even get a team place. That's harsh.

CVS has already said he will have a place if other teams are having a similar 2+ rider as 7 as well, otherwise he won't as he will be cannon fodder.

Masters has posted on Instagram that he will not be riding in the Championship in 2018. Bet Edinburgh are pleased as they bought him outright a while back. Looks like CVS was right to say that full purchase is a waste of time nowadays.

Wolves better have a transfer fee ready then if he wants to ride for Wolves next season!

It's a shame we miss out on Piotr on his real average but at least the BSPA have finally done the very thing many have been asking for and give this standard of rider a real average.

I say shame because he would have been a great addition to our side for 2018 and to the league.

It also makes it harder for the league to attract these 7 GP riders that BT apparently want as part of their deal.

Not that Zagar was ever coming back, because of the Polish ruling and Janowski was never going to come either.

I am confused has Zagar signed for someone in the uk ?

No. In principle he has an agreed deal with Somerset. But they are waiting on money from hopeful TV deal to sign him.
