scaramanga 902 Posted October 7, 2017 (edited) That would have been Olly Greenwood having a spin afterwards ) To be honest since the ruling changed I haven’t seen anyone going around the starting gate not get excluded and we have had a few this season who have unfortunately tried it, not sure why riders still do it because they have all been told. at workington riders aproach the start tapes and the track staff lift them maybe some tracks dont lift tapes for away riders in order to get them to go on centre green and try get them exclueded Edited October 7, 2017 by scarra
Baldyman 6,243 Posted October 7, 2017 I don't see why they don't go round the track like they do when not on 2 minutes, as once they on track on way to tapes they Are not going to get excluded.
scaramanga 902 Posted October 7, 2017 but riders like officals dont always know the rules and take the quickest route to tapes ive always said riders should never ride the opposite way round before after or during a race
Baldyman 6,243 Posted October 7, 2017 Maybe it's about time the team manager says to rider, go the normal way to the tapes.

Exactly what my mate said. Proctor clearly had a beef with Abbot and Costello at tapes as explained above, very amusing, but why he thought going round on the centre green was ok, buggered if I know. Much like the good old days with someone storming up the box for clarification, good on Proctor, apart from the morons in the crowd booing him. What is the point! jenga 2,998 Posted October 7, 2017 good to see matt lowering the colours of the superstar number 1 rider holder on his own track . then again holder wont have any home advantage as he has not ridden it that often lol.

Yes he won it well but had the ref spotted he had a rolling start , it would have been rerun with a warning for Williamson.

And Cook was well beaten by Simon Lambert. Good luck in the GP's next year.
Crump99 4,474 Posted October 7, 2017 And Cook was well beaten by Simon Lambert. Good luck in the GP's next year. That was funny wasn't it. Lambert did look though like someone had spiked his methanol with nitro! Remember the knockout GPs when Mario Jirout used to get knocked out before the crowd had sat down? Cook's lucky that's long gone.
