Melbourne Gp Saturday 28th October 2017

No great supporter of him really, but after the injury denied him last year, Jason Doyle deserves the title this year.

Ditto

So name a stadium that can hold speedway for 25,000 in Melbourne or any other well populated city in Australia.

The New Sydney Showground and Carrara Oval (Gold Coast) are 25,000. The Ekka (Brisbane) is probably around that too, although not sure its allowed to hold motorsports events anymore as a lot of residential properties are now around it. Of course, all these venues are outdoors.

The problem is that after an initial reasonable first GP, little seems to have been done to build on that. And of course, its widely rumoured that its going to be the last Australian GP, with a bit of a scratch lineup, which probably isnt the best thing for encouraging people to turn up.

Reminds me of Soren Sjosten.

AND let's not forget the huge distances, as just mentioned by NP and KT, required to reach Melbourne from other parts of Australia. It's not exactly like Manchester to Cardiff

Looks like Dudek has had his haircut for the SF

IT'S stuffed under his cap ...

Strange that having it hanging out of his cap all meeting that he tucks it inside to pick a gate

DOES that all the time

FANTASTIC performance by Jason Doyle throughout the season and a very worthy World Champion. Let's just hope he continues to race in the UK next year.

Well done to Jason Doyle. And how often do we see someone win the title halfway through a meeting then tail off/don't bother, great to see none of that from Jason despite having the handy excuse of resting his injury if he wanted to.

Congrats to Tai on the bronze as well

Congratulation to Jason Doyle...

I cannot think of a more deserving winner in recent years.

When you consider what he has been through in the last two years it is absolutely remarkable that he has achieved his ultimate goal.
