The problem with those calling for Davey's head is who would be picked to replace him? He is one of the form riders in the NL and that is largely the pool of riders you have to play with given the averages. Hume or Mountain would be the other sensible contenders but both ride Thursday nights for Ipswich so virtually rules them out. Would need a double change and re-declare under the limit. Does switching Davey & Musielak for 2 x 4 pointers make any sense? Think the robins will have to stick with Mitchell and help him the best they can

Think if it was 2 changes it would have to be Mitchell & David rather than Toby.

A team needs 1 strong reserve.

What are the options though? Mark Riss & Grondal? Would have said Starke & Gravesen but looks like Starke is now in the declared Belle Vue line up? Either way the team average has gone up and to make improvements it would mean chopping a point out of the side which doesn't make much sense.

Starke has now completed his 28 day contract and Drozdz is back with the Aces.

I'd rather keep the top 5 as it and sign a young Brit as a replacement if we do make a change. At least a youngster has a chance of progressing as the season goes and its all about how you are going in September and October. I think we have enough to keep winning at home and can only see Zach improving as the season goes on. We will be ok.

Last chance saloon for Davey against Poole next Monday apparently. If he can’t beat Shanes he deserves to go.

He will probably beat Szczepaniak and Shanes.

Shanes is a much better rider than Davey so should beat him.

Alun Rossiter's latest PR suggests not......he is urging supporters to 'stand by him'.

Crikey that is some drop from David & if he doesn’t turn it round quickly then Swindon will have to take advantage of his old average to make changes.

Only takes one of the top five to dip badly, and we'll struggle as the reserves are woefully weak, need to win Monday to get the good vibe back.

We know what that means - the kiss of death.

That's not their green sheet averages, it's this season's league meetings. What is interesting is that for of those complaining about having Troy rather than Jason, Troy is outscoring Jason, as is Nick!
