2017 was the final year of TV money so Philip rising has informed us via this forum.

The main issue is lack of crowds .Football has massive spiralling costs in wages but because the product and standard are good it pays it's way .

I can assure you that football does not pay its way for 95% of the clubs. Again it has allowed wages to spiral out of control.

You can't force spectators to attend but you could introduce cost cutting measures.

II fail to understand why every end of season the majority of Promotions say they have lost money , so why do they continue in the same vein year on year ? Surely NOW is the time for them all to get together as a group ( haves & have not's ) & come up with a sustainable plan for ALL clubs to survive & thrive ? The guess when the Speedway is on & are they still riding question is ask by many people I work with !!

Another question ..Would it be possible for a COVENTRY BEES team to ride at another track e.g Peterboro ,Leicester or Brum ?

They don't stick together, there's always someone who breaks ranks, twists the rules, or accepts inducements. The only way to make them work together, would be for the BSPA and SCB to have complete authority, then again, the current leader doesn't come across as having the capacity.

Blimey, Sky paying for something and getting nothing! Who ever did that deal needs promoting.

They wanted to get away from all the setting up costs for meetings, some of which were rained off etc, so I believe as they had a contract still running they were happy to pay the clubs the agreed amounts with BT picking up the setting up costs. So Sky got out of a costly contract and BT got a sport cheaper than it would have normally cost.

There haven't been any, the attempts to standardise equipment have never been stuck to or come to fruition, as for lowering standards? Well in the 'last 20 years' top riders can now make a living in Poland and Sweden and the GPs but the World Champion says that he'll be here next season and he's about as high a standard as there is.

Ever if Jason does ride here the standard has got lower and lower overall in the last 20 years as have the crowds ...you must be the only person who thinks otherwise .

According to Philip Rising, there is also one other person who thinks crowds are up this season.

I can not for one minute imagine this is true but if you say it enough times I am sure other people will start to believe you... 🙄
